I just dirty flashed and have no issues. Ob23 is just as good as 9.0.3, no real difference (other than 9.0.3 is still Dec security).

You have to use the right version of TWRP for your firmware.
If you have installed Oreo use the TWRP for Oreo, otherwise you have to use TWRP for Pie

Last time I checked on the website, stock recovery was broken. The only working on is 7.1.1 found on the forum (official images thread). But I prefer using Blu spark twrp.
If you have a working (and treble compatible) twrp, just install the zip manually, just use sideload for example.

Just because of one update that goes wrong, you can't blame the company?
Isn't it so ironic that you wanted the Pie software to be introduced for OnePlus and now you're blaming them?
How about you make a stable software for us?
And if you're having so much of issues with your "fake" software and the company, either change your software or look for another company.
As a community user, I'm really happy with OnePlus and their due consideration to the people's issues.
Even if it's taking them time, they are working over it.

Even if there's no SIM the phone is still reaching cell towers and could detect presence of MCC 404 or 405 (India).
    Maybe they've also tighten this.

Can anybody with Beta 23 installed tell me if the Camera version is 3.0.15 or newer? I think that Camera 3.0.13 on 9.0.3 is horrible, the 9.0.15 is a little bit better bit still subpar. Hoping that one of these beta's turns into a stable with a newer camera that is decent to good. Thank you.

I am on Open Beta 22 and my twrp version(3.2.3) does support pie. otherwise why would it boot in the first place!! I was able to flash OB19 rom with this twrp. after that no version of open beta was compatible to flash with twrp.

In twrp go to advanced, sideload.
On the PC, adb sideload OneplusXXX.zip

What he meant I think was to download the TWRP from blu_spark or Codeworkx that has a fix to the Compatability zip error...
Both of them has the latest version in which they fixed it...

    I recommend updating your TWRP

Maybe in airplane mode, or scan for networks switch off, with sim card out, and reboot? If people want no shutter sound, they could test all senarios. I hear removing sim and rebooting solves it for Pixels.
