I never had that issue. Clean flash or factory reset if you're having issues. (ie: wipe cache, data)

Maybe not in OB 25 but most people are having it on 9.0.3 on stable

Yeah, that's why I was asking if ob 26 still has the lagging issue, because some people said it was ok on open beta 25

If it was ok in OB25 what makes you think it will be worse in OB26?
The only way you can make sure is to update...
No matter what anyone says your experience might be different...
    For example:
I updated to OB 26 via OTA incremental and didn't get my device bricked but on the other hand some people had there devices bricked in the process...

Maybe a 5 issue? I've had no issues on 9.0.3 or ob24, 5t. But I never use ota.

I was able to install the Android Pie update on my phone and it looks awsum. It's as smooth as can be. But after 2 days of buttery smooth usage my OP5 has started signs of bugs. The phone hangs while using WhatsApp and Fb app. Also the shortcut icons in the notification bar stops responding and then I have to restart my phone to fix this bug. Love the look and feel of the launcher. Though no improvement s in camera quality.

Ok, So my device got bricked with the update. I got home now and tried to fix it. From fastboot I can't enter recover (I get a blank screen only). I can't flash a recovery since the bootloader is locked. I can't unloack the bootloader since I can't reach the OS. Any ideas on how to fix my phone? :)

Everyone should learn to install custom recovery. It makes life so much easier. Can do a backup of the whole ROM in less than 2 minutes. Can wipe whatever is needed (clean flash or dirty flash). Can switch between stable and beta easily by restoring a previous build (or clean flashing). I back up all partitions anytime I upgrade anything and move bu to cloud or PC once a week. Probably Overkill, but have never lost anything. I used system updater once, but even then moved file out of ota folder and clean installed.

Yeah, OnePlus ota should be much better and more reliable, but once something is messed up on the phone, it may not go away without a factory reset or clean install.

if people don't fully understand what they're doing and how to recover from any sort of problem then why should they blindly go into flashing beta software..
I don't know shit about fixing my car so if I try then I probably going to **** it up and it will cost me money to fix.
