    See that's exactly what you're complaining about. You don't want to long press but would rather have it in a single tap. Mostly people use the toggle to turn on/off and rarely for switching the connection. So it makes sense to give on/off on single tap and switch on long press.

    Still did not work. Also the apps on home screen are not doing anything on long press.

    Some apps which were earlier on home screen are not displayed any more. But in restart some show up.

    Well I'll suggest a nice workaround. Check out MacroDroid app. Through it, you can create a macro to connect to any WiFi network you want and then create a QS tile to invoke that macro.
    This will be helpful if you have a small number of networks you want to switch to as it will add a tile for each network along with the existing WiFi tile.
    But that can also be solved if you dig into the app as you can configure it to display a dialog to select which network to switch to. But that might require paid version. Still it's worth checking out.
