Downloaded Open Beta 1 and currently on Open Beta 3 via OTA updates. Is it true that I'll have to wipe my phone completely to update to the Andoid Pie stable build when it's released? is there a work-around for this? Thanks for the help! Loving Android Pie on my OP6!

for everyone posting battery issues with builds I just need to point out something.

battery drain is normal, you'd think people on here expect the battery not to drain but it all depends on what you're actually doing in your phone. you're not going to use you're phone the exact same every day. your signal is not going to be the same every day and this depending on what you're doing will show different battery levels.

for example today I got 6h SoT before I turned on battery saver and I'll see how much more that nets me.

tomorrow? hell I could get less or more. there's so many variables and rouge apps that can cause battery drain (hello Facebook app)

I know 90% of this forum won't listen/read but honestly before you start wasting development time by posting useless things such as "my battery drain fast' etc actually take time and see what's causing it first. get proper evidence if it's actually draining fast, check for wakelocks, check your apps actually put in some work so that we as a community can help OnePlus and not hold them back investigating what could be nothing.

this is probably the biggest post ive done on here but i feel that the OP bug hunters and software team need all the help they can get from here.

and finally if you're 99.9% sure there is a battery drain in the software get a bug report and send it to OnePlus!! just saying "battery drain" and following it up with nothing is going to help nothing.

    /rant?

I don't get any notifications from Snapchat after updated to beta 3. I have notification on in settings, every batterysaver function turned off and have checked internal settings for Snapchat itself. Also tried re-installed it. Any suggestions?

Edit: All other apps SEEMS to be ok.

Nope. Thats a new "feature" in Pie. Supposed to take up less of your task bar space.

Yes, thats normal! You had around this size already before (maybe you didn't notice it).
The OnePlus 6 have two System Partitions, so basically you have installed two Android version at same time. Thats how the seamless updates working.
Haven't you wondered why the phone doesn't need to reboot to recovery install there the update and boot back?
Now the install process happens when you still use your phone and you just need to reboot so the phone boots the other partition where the new update was installed.

So you will always loose around 4-5GB just for this function. This was one of the reasons why I choosed the 128GB version!
