It's a bug. It comes with this update. Notch hide thing worked very in previous update.

My SOT runs at about 10% of Battery per hour, see post further up the thread, My phone has always ran like this, so for 100% of Battery I am getting approx 10 hours SOT with no gaming.

The amount of apps you have had no bearing on a factory reset suggestion. You would factory reset to correct issues within the Android OS, whether you have 1 App or a thousand.

And you have many more than 1 app, every device comes with Hundreds of Apps installed, including system only Apps.

Check Battery stats to see which are using the most percentage of battery.

    It's not unusable,
    You can unhide the notch.

Furthermore, less useless screen, more battery. ;)

Because I work with my phone and I don't have time to factory reset again. Oneplus backup suite is not great.

And how do the app battery stats work out, have you checked to see which apps are using most battery, try force stopping any offending apps.

Also try Battery Optimization in settings battery, and restrict any apps you don't require to run in the background causing issues. Don't restrict system apps.

That's up to you, but if you have tried every other option and suggestion it may be the only recourse open to you. Again entirely your choice.

It's not a bug. That's how it works. Just look at the Pixel 3's implementation. That's why this feature is useless. You loose more screen than with the notch.

They brought back the notch hiding option, and now everyone is complaining again, because it's not how they imagined it would be. Great. [e]1f602[/e]

To be honest that's not much. I would definitely suggest a factory reset, may not be the solution, some people say it worked for them, others say it didn't. Would be something you may have to consider.

Just to add I do have most 3rd party apps optimize Not to run in the background, except those I want notifications from, such as phone, messenger, WhatsApp and a few others on Intelligent Control, the rest are optimized using Optimize, middle setting. If you do set apps to optimize , run to a full charge and recheck your stats once more.

Or possibly contact OnePlus Support through their website directly to see if they may have a solution.

If you do contact them, send your stats images and you can use mine as well so they can compare if you wish, or just point them to this comments conversation.

I have posted my Battery stats for reference taken just now . However I didn't have to Factory reset at any point. On OP6T, I have Upgraded on each stage, but used full sized updates each time. Not incremental, just for reference.

I used the system update utility that comes with OxygenOS to download the OTA. It does show the change log. It just never lists the features in the other section of the application that is specifically for mentioning features. Not even on stable back on Pie.

I just remembering the Windows phone 10 OS by this Beta builds.. Windows also released windows 10 OS stable with too many bugs, after too many Beta programs. OnePlus also doing the same with OP 6 series, I am unable to understand why OP team struggles to program a stabled version of updated OS for its 6 & 6T devices.. it should be better atleast if they provide latest security patches for their customers,so that they can feel like they are using latest OS in their devices.I hope OP team will never give up to provide the same.
