Get your friend to read post #1 of this thread about the Google Duo video calling being integrated into the Phone app.

Also, could you contact Aston Martin for me and let them know about my bluetooth issue on the Vanquish.

    LMAO

Hi friends, battery is a bit worse than Beta 2. Can someone confirm the same or is just.me using the phone more and more?
    Thanks!

battery is fine for me. only been a day or 2 right? I did notice that the fingerprint scanner is faster in this compared to stable or beta 2. I think it's even faster than the scanner on my 5T or 6 was to be honest

I was reaching end of the day with around 45 per cent, now it is the 33 per cent...this is how it is.
Fingerprint scanner I agree with you above.

Excellent! Probably, better than Open Beta 2. Will do 3 full cycles before committing myself but looking good.

exactly why are people beta testing this stupid update? why is OnePlus focusing on fixing the ram management problems. apps are getting killed in the background and have to reload each time. camera app takes lots of resources and slaughtering any app in the background. navigation gestures might be contributing to this. disappointed at OnePlus

    Well, there you are then.

    The answer is very simple.

You have not been updated because you are on the stock, stable, OxygenOS 9.0.11 firmware and this update is for those on the Open Beta 3 test firmware, as per the title of the thread.

Bro, stop making a fool out of yourself. I don't know where you live and what network connection you use.
    Just for your information...

In India, we can make a video call to another phone without using internet connection. It is called ViLTE. We don't need an app like Duo/imo/messenger.
It works even if we don't have data pack.

I have been using it on op5 from long back. It was also there in op6t. The last beta broke it.

My friend is not a tech savvy person. I had already reverted his phone to stable build. So can't send a bug report from his phone.

This is a warning to all those Indians who will flash this beta that VILTE is broken.

Read posts #1 & #4 of this thread, carefully and thoroughly.

WARNING! Open Beta releases are for competent and experienced users since they may not always be stable and are for the purposes of testing and reporting to OnePlus to help them develop future stock firmware and features. By installing this Open Beta, you accept the potential risks. Once on the Open Beta pathway you will no longer receive the regular OnePlus, Official Stable OTA's and you will need to completely wipe your phone before attempting to return to Official Stable OnePlus stock firmware.

I don't actually see how I am making a fool of myself. However, you are making a career out of it.

Lets forget that you do not even own the OnePlus 6T.

Where in your posts does it mention that you are in India?

Also, your post, below, states, quite clearly... VoLTE

Quick question, has anyone encountered issues with the private DNS setting in this beta? in beta 2 I was able to set the private DNS to 1.1.1.1 but since updating (and yes I did wipe the cache after updating) i get an error saying that the connection to the private DNS server is not possible. I also tried the new Google private DNS server, with the same result. the error occurs in both 4G and WiFi. thanks

A known issue on Open Beta 3 I am afraid to say. Will have to wait for the next Open Beta for a fix.

So far works flowlesly on OP5, I'm testing all the basic functionality, phone profiles, BT connection! love the Gallery changes!

    hopefully existing defects were fixed
    * BT audio goes funny for calls (can't determine why)
    * Do not disturb (contacts only) option does not work, allows everyone instead.
    * Have you seen KISS Launcher? you should steal some ideas from it =]
