    Some things possible.

You can upgrade to stable 10 over beta. When that can't be done due to various reasons (normally date conflicts) you need to revert to stable 9 first. That can only be done with the rollback file in open beta 1 thread. (I hope they release a 10 based rollback file soon!)

You can upgrade to beta if the beta is newer than stable version. If it's not you need the rollback file again.

Question from a noob ... I have no option to flash in stock recovery. Only options are 'wipe cache' 'factory reset' and 'delete everything'

I think flash from recovery needs unlocked bootloader.
By clean flash he probably meant factory reset, restore nothing, start completely from scratch. Media files can ofcource be saved an a backup if you need to. Phone numbers should be in your Google account so not even that is needed. Just register as a new device during setup. Manually reinstall the apps you need. Put back your media files. Keep the phone on charge for some time after fully charged, like during the night a few times to get to optimal battery life. Enjoy your clean and optimized phone.

Looks like Oneplus likes to screw over the US while hand-holding India and presenting them with extra features. The blatant favoritism will make me switch brands.

Did you download the APK? The 7T and 7T Pro and McClaren wallpapers are available for download from XDA.

Clean flash means wiping the data and system partitions. This means nothing is on the device and no weird data migration will run, no old OS detected, etc.

The process outlined will require an unlocked bootloader and you will lose HDR support in Netflix (but not YouTube) and unlocking will wipe all of internal storage

Well, OpenBeta 3 didn't fix my Android Auto problems. No other phone does this. Its obvious the phone just "optimizes" something it shouldn't. Oddly, I can move the map in Waze with drag motions, but no buttons on the display work. If I touch the OP7 Pro screen, the Android Auto buttons will work for the next 15 seconds.

Luckily I have hardware buttons to change tracks, but Oneplus is being VERY evasive on this.

I have the same issue. really annoying and could be a safety issue if I have to reach for my phone to touch it.

Unless clearly stating unlocked/rooted device I always refer to it as locked.
Reading the original post again that the question was pointed at it looks like it's possible he has a unlocked device.
I prefer the term "clean install" when it comes to locked devices and are then referring to factory reset without a ton of backed up data on top of it.
Sometimes the termology can be a bit blurry depending on if the user talk about locked or unlocked bootloader device [e]1f609[/e]
