Yes, you just answered your own statement.

"other people do this too, why am I not allowed to do this?"

If this problem exists, don't open a new thread, goes with all topics, not just this Beta topic.
Also, as the beta has stopped, and won't progress any further, I recommend doing a clean flash of the stable OS. It should fix your issues.

The beta program is closed so, it is normal that stable version is better than beta ones
And, in any case, the beta is called beta because it should be unstable
Now, the last update 5.0.8 seems so be good with performance and battery
Waiting for android 9 pie to see the improvements :)

And I call out as many of you as I'm able. We care because we value the community and believe that the forum should be a useful resource not simply filled with people asking/making the same inane comments.

But don't forget that all important wipe.

Instructions are in the OP of the beta thread, where coincidentally your post should've been made, if all wasn't clear after reading the thread...

I would assume you are not familiar with TWRP or ROM flashing so I don't understand why would you use a Beta OS? Also i would advise to keep a backup of internal memory before performing data wipe in stock recovery and flashing stable OOS zip.
