If you are on beta. Never.
You will need to manually revert to stable to get stable. If you can wait for next stable don't update the beta anymore and flash next stable version over the beta. That will wipe the phone but make it go strait to 10.0.2 (assuming it is 10.0.2 that is the next update... normally the logical next version number). If you are in a hurry you can choose from 2 options. Download the downgrade file to 9 from the open beta 1 thread and upgrade to 10.0.1 or flash via adb commands. Both wipes the phone.
If you like beta just stay and you get beta updates around every 2nd week.

How did you move the file and did you make sure it is a zip?

Update/Downgrade your phone with starting from the community app. Step by step video. Some awesome entertainment during the download included. Downgrade file exists in the first post in OB1.

It won't come to you if you are running beta. Stable will only be updated on the stable branch so if you are or 10.0.0, you should be getting 10.0.1.

If you are on Beta-3 or Beta-4, you will never be offered an OTA to go to stable.

They are from the stable builds, so OnePlus considers 10.0.1 to be stable, but a lot of users would disagree and say that it still has too many bugs.

Nonetheless, 10.0.1 is a stable build while the beta branch is on Beta-4 right now.

Why OB4 rollout is very slow?
I used to get earlier open beta updates in a day or two after its release. This time I am still on OB3 and not getting update.
Can I install OB4 manually on top of OB3? Where do I get install file?

I am using Oneplus 7 from India
