the slider is broken... does not work. I've tried randomly in the past week with multiple restarts. the slider and button doesn't work on settings.

I'm not sure why you keep trying to verify something I have repeated multiple times haha.

luckily it's a bug I can live with since I just put on do not disturb when I want it to be silent.

Just wanted to be sure we talk about software slider and hardware slider/button the same way with no misunderstandings to be certain if it's a hardware or software issue.
So it sounds like your hardware slide button is broken and stuck in vibrate mode.
It's possible to both toggle both vibrate and silent on via software buttons. But they can not override the hardware button. That would have been a nice solution otherwise. But as you have found out do not disturb is your only option besides fixing the button.
I personally use software toggle for vibrate mode most times and very rarely use the physical slider just to avoid wearing it out.

I am not sure that OnePlus takes security patches seriously. My wife's Samsung S8+ just got February security patch and OnePlus cannot put it into their beta software.

    Probably reasons for it.
They have showed that they CAN offer it early (once even BEFORE the 1st one month in a stable release) ... but prefer not to. It's probably a matter of priorities. Doing closed, open betas and maintaining a stable with early monthly might need a change in the work flow and rework of priorities of the stable channel. Even the betas security may come a bit late sometimes due to bad timing and other factors. The releases was pretty delayed this time due to both the longest Chinese holiday and due to the virus the extended the time everybody needed to stay at home (they even worked from home a period before being allowed to go to the office).

Is anyone else getting a really weird bug with WiFi connectivity? Like when I'm using wifi, the speed automatically drops to zero at random, this persists until i toggle the wifi off and on. This happens way too often and it's frustrating. My other devices run fine eg, TV and other phones seem to run fine. Any help is much appreciated!
