I would like to add a gesture for instant voice recording, or a combination of buttons while the screen is off, or to be able to choose voice recording with a quick double tap to power button

you must go to the battery optimization and choose "do not optimize" instead of "intelligent control" for whichever app you need to

Thanks, i will give it a try
But in general this must be an issue / bug within beta 9 since actually every app is affected even popular apps like whatsapp or third party push notification providers like pushover. Wish should known and hopefully tested at oneplus...

The Implementation of Always on Display for the 7 pro would be much appreciated (As a toggle, So people worried about battery life can turn it off)

As a work around the app screebl Pro will keep the screen on as long as the phone is held in an up position. XDA Developers.com also has an app called kinscreen that works similar for free.

Thank you for the recommendation. I will surely give them a try. But a native implementation would always be better I feel.

In Android Auto after some time Waze or Google Maps lose the GPS signal only has a signal unlocking the phone but loses again after being locked again

Same problem here. Recently tried to disable battery optimization for specific apps without success. I now disabled " sleep standby optimization" and give it a try. Problem with GPS and missing notification seems also to be solved if I connect the phone to a power.

same here with one plus 7 roo, seems like I've paid 49k for OP 7 pro, just to show it off that I got a OP device but the software in it, is so degraded that even Xiaomi or oppo must have been a better choice I guess

That's not the same thing. That setting applies to apps which are enabled for dark theme. The setting he is talking about is indiscriminate in which apps it applies to and it will try to enable all apps in dark mode, some more successfully than others. It has been removed from the beta.

I know/gathered he means the force dark mode override thing from the developer options, but since he wasn't clear or used the search obviously, I gave answer to what was asked. People need to use the search and think a bit more in here, and definitely be more clear in what they want.

Just wanted to be sure we talk about software slider and hardware slider/button the same way with no misunderstandings to be certain if it's a hardware or software issue.
So it sounds like your hardware slide button is broken and stuck in vibrate mode.
It's possible to both toggle both vibrate and silent on via software buttons. But they can not override the hardware button. That would have been a nice solution otherwise. But as you have found out do not disturb is your only option besides fixing the button.
I personally use software toggle for vibrate mode most times and very rarely use the physical slider just to avoid wearing it out.

to be honest, i forgot about the physical buttons.

it's a software issue which is why I kept showing the screen shots of it. I cannot change anything via software only physical buttons.

when I change the physical button to then I can move the ringer slider around. But I can't slide it to the bottom as shown in the picture. I attached.

I am not able to press on the ringer icon to change from silent to vibrate to loud.

the slider will only move when on loud but not go all the way down.

it is the same in setting--> sound & vibration --> ring volume

The hardware button overrides the software and dictates what is possible to do. When in normal ring mode you can not turn down the volume to 0% because then it would not be ring mode anymore.. It be silent mode. And if you really want silent mode you use the slider or software tiles for on/off. Same thing for when in vibrate mode. If you are allowed to raise the ring volume it's not vibrate mode anymore.

    the tiles are not responsive.
