Other Partial fingerprint detected

    Hi,
From some time now the fingerprint unlock is not working giving me the error as per thread title..I have to rely on face unlock and if there's no light, to the PIN, which is really annoying.

The sensor itself works since I can use my fingerprint to authenticate in other apps with no issues.

This makes me think it's a software issue.

Is it something someone else is experiencing at the moment?

    I'm OxygenOS 9.0.17 build A6013_41_190911 1 August 2019 Android security patch.

    Thanks!

Forget about it, it was my company email that took control and disabled fingerprint as unlock method. Still, maybe a better explanation other than partial fingerprint detected would be much appreciated!

thanks. Unfortunately that didnt help me. Fingerprint sensor works fine with apps, just while unlocking device it says partial fingerprint detected. Doesnt seem to be hardware issue.

You can check if, while selecting fingerprint as unlock method in security settings, it tells that it is disabled by some software.. I didn't notice it at the beginning..

yup i can see that message in fingerprint section. figured out its because of intelligent hub that i use for company email and wifi setup. new version of this app disables fingerprint scan. Thanks for all the help!

It's the exact same one that caused the issue for me. I didn't mention it because I was thinking it wouldn't make sense for someone else, so I stayed generic :)

    Glad this was helpful

    Enjoy
