Password not working on recovery mode Oct 10, 2019

    Hi,
    I wanted to wipe cache to improve battery life for my OP 7pro, and try to enter into recovery mode
    I'm in a scree that asks me for a password

    I've tried my screen password (6 number pin)
    I've tried my sim pin
    I've even tried old screen passwords just in case

    Nothing is working and I cannot get out form this menu.

    Does anybody know how to exit for this screen and reboot it normally?

    Just for your info. I'm in Android 10. Have a work profile in my Android

    I just upgraded my 7 Pro to the latest OOS 10. I wanted to clear the cache after installation, but got also stuck on the password.
    I tried both changing PIN and password but nothing worked.

    FYI, To exit the recovery mode, I pressed volume up + power until the phone powers off.

    This has been an issue since the OnePlus 5 and they have yet to fix it. The only way to get into recovery mode is to factory reset.

    Fortunately for you there is no reason to go into recovery mode as wiping cache is a placebo and not something you should be doing.

    Even I am facing the same issue on my OP 7Pro after setting my work profile . I guess it's something with work profile.

    Came out after pressing power + up button.

    at last i found the solution. guys you have to use your gmail password the account which you have in play store. When you enter into recovery mode just pass your gmail password.

    Are u sure ...even after coming from recovery mode it doesn't take that password....does gmail work if work profile set up
