The look reminds me of older Obsidian cases.
Only one TypeA and a TypeC port on the front of it if remember correctly o_O

    This one's for you :p

Hi and happy new year buddy. Well. Νo update since I am still waiting my GPU. Couriers these days are a mess! I got my AIO liquid cooler and I am only waiting the GPU and the extra thermal paste I bought to use for the AIO. Since 31/12/2020 are in my country but not in my hands

I will use it on the above side after checking some stuff and according to my PC case. I most care to have lower temps on the CPU instead of the GPU. And as much as I read the best option is to use the AIO on the above.

Besides now the air cooler it is bulky and affects the airflow in some point while with the liquid cooler this will not happen. But let's wait first for the GPU right? ;)

Well GPU is easy to install afterwards. AOI in te top has it benefits. I prefer as exhaust air there (usually means 2C or so higher temps) since it keeps more dust out the system.

As for airflow, just make sure you have a front fan that blows over your VRM's and RAM modules slightly. with AIO's these usually don't get cooling if there's no airflow in the case.

    He's got 6 fans lying around :D

@gaster BIOS Flashback is supported but I'd test boot with an older GPU
+ Air cooler and make sure you have the BIOS necessary for 5000 series support so you have everything else ready to just drop in once the new GPU and AIO arrives.

I thought about that too. But then ended up deciding against it. My 6700k is already bottlenecking my system quite a bit. If I decided to wait for DDR5, I would be getting its first implementation, where things may not be as stable as later on. I know I'm buying into a system I can't update further (well, I can always get a 5900X/5950X in the future), but I did so willingly.

You've been watching your Gamers Nexus videos I see :D

Be Quiet! now has a decoupled pump unit that has the pump built into the tubes, removing the need for this.

Still, Air > Water. I'll get better temps and lower noise than most 240mm AIOs.

It seems I forgot to mention that I already using the new PC and have installed the latest BIOS since day one etc. The only old part on it is my current GPU. That's why I am waiting both now the new GPU and thermal paste because I want to use them all at once :D And yes the BFLK button behind the motherboard is a life saver :)

I went for AOI again because of looks. And transportability.... Lan parties would have been nice last year ;)

But yes gamers nexus (and common sense tbh)

I would argue AIOs affect the airflow more than air coolers, especially when built into the front of the case.

In a positive pressure case scenario, with thought-out airflow, air coolers perform cooler and quieter.
