    it did work. i input that IMEI from that video and then activated using your own device and same phone number followed the steps to get verification. then turned on my OP8 and my texts work now.. you dont need to call anyone. do online its faster and easier! the tier 2 rep told me that can be done online also

    hmm not working for me. Unless I change my unlimited plan and stuff.

    Ive been using a workaround though. Go to the verizon website on your phone, click desktop site, and then use the text online option. No notifications, but you can check in on your texts every few hours to see what youve missed.

    I can confirm. Just got off the phone with Verizon. Went straight to tech support and added CDMA-Less. Took 5 min and everything works good one my ONEPLUS 8. I don’t have the pro. But it seems like the ONEPLUS 8 pro and 8 are now in the supported devices with Verizon. Good luck everyone

    Not correct for the 8Pro. The 8 is an officially supported device on Verizon. The 8Pro is not and is still not listed as a supported device on their site. It's possible certain IMEI numbers for the Pro work since they've been submitted by OnePlus to Verizon, but many still don't.

    Well actually only Verizon's version of the OnePlus 8. The OnePlus 8 Unlocked is in the same boat as the OnePlus 8 Pro.

    Correct. I did not use an IMEI I found on the internet. I called Verizon tech support, gave them my IMEI (OnePlus 8 Pro) and asked for CDMA-Less provisioning. It only took about 5 minutes and now the phone is able to do EVERYTHING (I could not receive text messages before).

    You can now activate your OnePlus 8 Pro on Verizon. I just finished getting mine activated with a Verizon tech. He asked for my IMEI number and my SIM (I had a new SIM to use). I now have full texting and visual voicemail. All looks good! Also, I did not have to ask for cdma-less. They just activated it. Don't know if cdma-less is on my account.

    Now I'm starting to get excited as maybe this activation issue is being fixed.

    I can also confirm after calling Verizon the rep was able to assign the old IMEI (from the video above) to the phone. Here are the steps she performed;
    1) Called me on another phone number and had me shut down my OP8P.
    2) Applied the IMEI to the phone on her system.
    3) Turned on the phone and I started to receive text messages right away.
    I called last week and we performed the same procedures but it wouldn't work. Not sure exactly was what different from this attempt but all is good!

    Yeah, I didn't get my notification yet but I'm guessing I will at some point today.
    And just from reading in this thread I believe we'll be golden getting everything up and running.
    Monday can't come soon enough. I like my pixel 4xl but I think the 8 pro will be a real upgrade!
