So a decent 1TB hard drive I can put in my xbox one as I'll be out of space before end of November with the games coming out.

I've herd all things like they die after so long (1 year) then you'll lose your data

Hard drives that need their own power supply are better.. ?? (don't know how true that is) but I've seen other ppl in tech forums say even those have corrupted over time

Basically I've never needed a hard drive before and im in unknown waters

Any help from anyone that knows about these things or have bought a few hard drives themselves that would like to share their experiences please comment.

Any links to specific good ones you've herd about or own also welcome =)

Not looking to spend over £80/90

I know game sell this one

I personally prefer PlayStation. Xbox really sums up at a bigger price when you add up batteries for the controller, Xbox live membership etc.. But thats none of my bussiness :)

OP, the best thing is an internal replacement hard drive for your Xbone. Anything 2.5" should be alright. For an external drive, I'm not up to speed with the Xbone - If it does support external drives get one with a power supply, the xbox's USBs likely won't supply enough power and if they do it will put extra strain on the Xbox's power supply.

I don't worry about this because I play on PC, my case supports 4 hard drives and drives without enclosures are dirt cheap. I currently have 1x1TB and 2x750GB.

Hard drives don't generally break or go corrupt within a year as you said, I have hard drives over 7 years old that still work (but I don't use them as they will likely die soon)

Hard drives are made from multiple spinning discs, dropping a hard drive or bashing it will kill it quickly.

Remember, your Xbox 360 (if you had one) has an ordinary hard drive for storage, and that's probably still working.

This is in your budget. I recommend this highly. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...200_QL40&qid=1410120577&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1

Would be good if they did have something set up seeing as saps are paying just for the privilege to play online LOL

I'd say just look about for a quality 1TB drive from a brand that doesn't have too many failure rates.

They aren't magicians unless they have cloud processing which adds a massive delay and lag to everything...

You're gonna be using it to store stuff on it mainly for game management don't expect to play games right off the cloud without fees.

They already have OneDrive and could have some good integration going on if they got creative.

Usb 3 is backwards compatible meaning it will work on Usb 2 devices at USB 2 speeds. If you were to use it on a USB 3 device (Xbox Two?) then it would be faster. There are no negatives

They already have cloud save storage, but saves are tiny.
