He can't. Whoever has a different viewpoint than his, is a moderator or a shill paid by OnePlus to do "damage control". He can't backup his claim, so he will fabricate things out of the blue to support the claim.

Just sharing my view and think beyond the benchmarks results.

We kind of have 2 complaints at the same time.
    1. Why does my device overheat? (not just the 40°C outdoors situations...)
    2. How dare you limit the device? (many probably did not notice it when it was added though)

Solution to 1 and 2 to make both happy?

If Samsung can get away with a different solution to the heat problem I gladly see Oneplus doing that approach. Hopefully someone can confirm the behaviour on a fully updated Samsung (SD888 version of course). As well as looking into how Samsung does it... SD888 is still a SD888 regardless what phone it's in. And based on stress tests in 3dmark it performs about the same on Samsungs too.

I don't mind re-routing workload to different cores as long as most don't notice a real world difference (without comparing 2 devices side by side or measuring tools). One factor that would be even greater... What if they also factor in the thermal headroom? Like for example doing this when lower probability of avoiding heat warnings exists... And unrestricted if you got enough thermal headroom? Best of both worlds.

    Nevertherless:
    - I would like to know that such measures are in place
    - I would like to choose if this optimizations are used

Benchmark cheating is nothing new for OnePlus I suppose
SOT is a better measure than Benchmarks

SOT is only a good reference in controlled tests.

However SOT for user A who plays PUBG on mobile data outside
    Vs.
SOT for user B who watches videos on wifi ik a dark room...

    Is not compatible.

    SOT? really?
Because everyone has exactly the same circumstances?
You have the same files, apps, cached data, network settings, network coverage, brightness settings, outside temperature, age of device and battery, charging behavior, etc?
No, sorry. SOT is not a good parameter.

I said SOT is a better measure than Benchmarks
Ofcourse not every person has the same app usage, network, brightness and climate.
These tests are done with a high brightness levels and use battery hungry apps but mostly with no sim cards. So yeah they are not accurate. They give us an Idea of what the device can do under those conditions with the apps they run. We have to still match it up to our usage and conditions
Ofcourse B should not be getting a phone from As data. But B is satisfied with As SOT he can buy though. Of course it's not always the case and the user has to be the judge of it

    Benchmark 😂😂😂
Is it important for a device to have high benchmark ? I don't think benchmark is important

I read this article last year.

Benchmarks don't tell much about the actual user experience. The chips inside your flagship Android phone aren't exactly built for supercomputers, but they are overbuilt and very few tasks you'll ever do tax the processor. In other words, a phone that scores a lot lower can still give the same user experience as one that tops the charts. - Android Central.
