    I find this charging animation to be really cool, however, on my phone, it pops up for just a moment then goes away. Is there a specific setting that can force it to stay on the lock screen the entire duration your phone is charging?

    It's only there for a while. It's to save the screen from burn in mostly.

    Any update on this? I wonder if turning off AOD would allow the animation to persist.

    Looks like most people with the issue use AOD

    Nope, doesn't work irrespective of AOD, it's just a placeholder for a few seconds then goes away.

    I don't think it would cause burn-in. I am basically asking for a persistent animation for 20-50 min a day max while charging and not a replacement for AOD since I think watching the numbers go up really fast is really cool.

    Yes but if it stayed on for the entire duration of the charge cycle then it would take longer to charge, then people would complain about that, then it would probably make the phone HOT so another thing to complain about. Now if they made it an option you could choose to use...then OK! But if it was not optional then NO WAY HOSE-A!

    No it's not possible to let it stay there on lock screen. This is same with all 65 watt charging phones. Animation is just to show it is wrap charging with super fast speed.
    If it continues for too long phone will heat up and burn the pixels.

    They could just have it slowly move around the screen, like other AOD notification.
