So brand new phone, wrapping up about 2 weeks with it.

Was using it at my desk to message some friends and went to go check since i havent recieved a reply and noticed it wont turn on.

Its been on the charger for an hour now. I have pressed and held the power button from 5 secs to around 60 secs. Ive also tried holding the vol-down button and the power button. Nothing works. OLast I checked it had 93% battery. No way it couldve drained that fast in less than an hour.

Has this happen to anyone else?

    Apparently this is a bug.

Phone/screen go blank. To resurrect press and hold the vol up + down + power buttons to recover the phone

Not sure if that was what fixed it but I had the same issue with my OP7, plugged it into a wall and let it sit for maybe 15 minutes while googling for optioins, tried this got to a weird screen then pressed the powerbutton again and it booted. Thanks!

Just had this happen to me. Plugging the phone in and holding down the volume-up and power buttons fixed the issue for me. (I also tried holding down the volume-down and power buttons before that but it didn't do anything)

Happened for the first time last weekend. And again just this night. Volume Up + power button revived it. But it still caused me to miss my morning alarm.

I hope this issue is software related and gets fixed fast.

I have faced this issue 3 times until now. Will there be any fix for this? I am kind of having a feel that it is getting frequent since the first time. My phone is 4 weeks old.

My OnePlus 7 pro just shutdowned on its own. Tried pressing the power on but it didn't work. Had to look up the issue online and tried pressing vol up key with the power on key and it turned on.
Phone works now, however there is an issue here that needs to be addressed.

I heard that OnePlus is going to fix it with software update. Don't know when that's going to happen.

This may resolve it. Seems to have worked for me.

Go to Settings -> Battery -> Battery Optimization -> Press the three dots in the top right corner -> Advaned optimization -> Make sure Deep optimization and Sleep standby optimization are both OFF

    Hello,

I have the same issue, but it was a hardware damage. Have you tried to drain the battery completely? Sometimes, the reason may be that the Lithium-based battery can't power the system back up.
