Phone keeps defaulting to vibrate mode Dec 5, 2021 via OnePlus 9 Pro

    Hi, I've been having an issue with my oneplus 9 pro where it keeps setting itself to vibrate. I have noticed my phone sometimes doesn't ring and initially thought maybe I just wasn't hearing it but I've noticed sometimes when I go into setting it tells me my phone is in vibrate mode but the slider is set to ring and I can't fix this unless I set the slider to vibrate and then back to ring. I have noticed this issue a lot of times now, possibly every day since I got the phone.
    If there's any solution please let me know

    Well, then i think you found the cause of it. That's the exact behavior of putting the phone to vibrate using volume up + power button shortcut. It's easy to do this by accident and without knowing too. There is, in beta at least, an option to turn this shortcut off in Oxygen OS12 so that should fix that, if they keep that setting in the stable version too.

    This is just to test because it doesn't seem to work on all devices, but what happens if you press volume up + power button at the same time? Check if you get a little toast message at the bottom that says "phone is set to vibrate" once you do that
    Also, it's not wise to post your email on a public user forum so you might want to edit that out.

    In that case, you might trigger vibrate mode accidentally, for example when picking up the phone or something. This has happened to me a lot too. The times it got set to vibrate mode, did it show the vibrate icon in the status bar next to the WiFi symbol?

    You're welcome.👍 I don't think it's a faulty phone, i'm reasonably sure it's because of the shortcut. But maybe indeed pay extra attention to see if you don't press them accidentally to see if it happens again or not so you can be sure if it's because of the shortcut or not.
