Phone not allowing me to use mobile data when on a phone call Feb 25, 2019

    so I have a OnePlus 3 running Android 8.0. When I'm on phone calls I'm not able to use my mobile data. I'm on a study group so my phone calls tend to be hours sometimes and I can't use my internet at all for that time. I have dual Sims in and even when I switch sim 2 to data and sim 1 on phone calls I still can't get it to work. tried resetting network settings and nothing.

    can someone please help me because it's severely hampering my productivity.

    Try to find out first if your carrier allows Volte(voice over LTE)
    If not there is nothing that can be done

    most of the time I think it depends on network provider , since I am a dual SIM user, I get data access while on call on one network and I don't get data access while on call for the other network.

    I'm also a dual SIM user.

    There story goes like this for me:
    SIM 1 for text and calls
    SIM 2 for data

    When on call on SIM 1 usually I lose data on SIM 2, however if I make a call from SIM 2 while using data on SIM 2 I can still call & have internet at the same time
