I've seen a lot of people complaining about this after upgrading their Oneplus 5/5T to Pie.
After any major update, any user should try a factory reset and clean install. It does wonders.
Just save all data with Oneplus Switch, copy the backup on your pc, and after clean install, copy it back and restore.
    It's the safest way!

i confirm it doesn't work. after total factory reset the phone reboots even more often not letting people complete the initial setup. the best thing to do is a downgrade to android 8.1 to oxygen 5.1.7 sadly.

    Hi guys,

Had this issue myself, ended up downgrading from Pie because of bugs (Play Store/Bluetooth etc.) and my device (OP5) got stuck in a bootloop... See here.

Hope my experience helps someone ;)

No issue with me, been using Pie, since 26th december, i did a clean install. Apart from the missing Bluetooth icon, everything is working smoothly

you're lucky. i might just go back to 5.1.7 and flash a custom rom instead.

Well my 5 9.0.0. boots to this "endless boot loop" every time I want to take a screenshot or I boot the device.

The annoying thing is that the text based menu flashes on the screen <1s and it's kind of annoying to try to figure out what is the correct button sequence to do the boot :p
