Welcome to Pick of the Week. Here we test some apps on our OnePlus devices to bring to you the top 5 apps and games from our review list. We’ve started this series to give you an idea of application usage on the OnePlus, and also to recommend some of the best apps to help you make the most out of your OnePlus experience.

As promised in our last weekly update, we’re here with some interesting and useful information. To kick off ‘Pick of the Week’, we decided to look into apps for accessibility, file sharing, some great image editing, music news and a classic survival/shooter game. Check it out!

    WeTransfer for Phone
WeTransfer for phone came out with a new update this February wherein they’ve enabled the option to select multiple photos at once. An easy interface and upto 10 GB’s of uploads makes this file sharing app seamless. I gave it a shot on the OnePlus 5T and I’m impressed.

    Flipboard
When it comes to personalised news apps, I believe Flipboard is one that gathers top news stories and articles but presents only the ones which matter to you. The first time you open this app, you can personalise your news feed with topics that you wish to read about. Each topic opens up a series of sub topics until you have your preferences in place. Almost like a Spotify for news articles and popular stories.

Moreover, the interface is unique and the design has visual appeal. If you haven’t tried this yet, you should definitely give it a shot.

    Lucid. Art videos and photos.
If you’ve ever wanted to give your photos a different perspective and a classic art feel, you should check out Lucid. With this app, you can change photos to suit artistic styles of certain painters. Ranging from Vincent van Gogh’s starry night to Salvador Dali and Picasso, you can pick from a range of choices. To be honest, I found that the editing process takes 4-5 seconds which would be the only drawback here. But when the end product is this good, it’s worth a shot.

    Recordbird
I stumbled across this application when I was looking for a good source of music related news. When I checked out recordbird for the first time, I discovered so much more than just news. Recordbird can use your Facebook data to make note of all the musical artists and music related pages you follow and inform you every time there’s a new release or a new update in a song, EP or album (Or you can start afresh with new artists). After using this for a week, this turned out to be my primary source for new releases from all my liked artists. Music enthusiasts, you can give this a shot.

    Featured Game of the week
Into the Dead 2 : Zombie Survival

I know we’ve just announced the OnePlus Asphalt Cup, but until that cup kicks off, we’ll keep the topic of speed on hold.
Coming back to this week’s feature, we looked at the classic zombie apocalypse shooter, Into the Dead 2. This game is packed with intense graphics, great use of weapons, an evolving storyline and multiple environments that makes perfect use of the OnePlus gaming experience. A special mention for the sound effects on this game that builds up the intensity. They’ve sure thought this one through.
Check out the gameplay on the OnePlus 3T:

And that’s a wrap!. If you’ve stumbled across interesting apps you can share your views in the comment section. Want to recommend a category for next time? Let us know. You can share your thoughts and views below.

Thanks for stopping by, catch more App action in the next edition of Pick of the Week.

On a side note, @Manu J. is out with the latest OTA for the OnePlus 6. Two words : Selfie Portrait. Check it out.

1528740279084.jpg so far it was most liked game for me but when ever i used play it especially when the charge is below 20% the game used to stuck means some sort of lag or shakiness which i experienced while beginning of the game which led me to uninstall

Seems a bit laggy with maxed out graphics. I tried it out on the OnePlus 5T and the OnePlus 6 though. Had a smooth gaming experience there.

Flamingo is one of the most used app on my device. But, we can't recommend that to anyone now as they won't be able to get it. Other bunch of my apps include Adobe Lightroom, Snapseed and Adobe Photoshop Express. And I can highly recommend Adobe Lightroom to those who like to edit their clicks on the go ;)
