Yes, please make more settings configurable like saturation, sharpening, noise reduction, metering mode, ... Just add essential dials and knobs to allow us create the look each individual wants, not others want. :)

ironically, as I was correcting a picture earlier I saw the quick filter options available.

with these available, why was the regular setting messed with?

Still We love natural photos I came from an iPhone recently and please believe me when I tell you that it makes me so uncomfortable taking pictures with the OnePlus it looks fake specially when there is skin or hair... look here my dog the one in which is sitting looking down was taken with OnePlus 7 Pro on automatic the other one with a iPhone 7 Plus look how many details are missing that smoothing is ruining it.

Interesting, never knew! So all these ports are ok because they're for free? Wouldn't it still be "not ok" to port to a different device though?

I believe Gcam is an apk. I don't know a ton about them, but I believe they are more or less open source. Gcam works ok for me, I just have to crank up the saturation a bit. that's still better than the current OnePlus app .

Let's see how much OnePlus believes in never settle. Here is a perfect example of the horrible over saturation of color. the darker pic was adjusted down, reducing exposure and saturation. That's what it should have looked like when I shot it! instead I get that cartoon with the neon bear chair. C'mon, guys... give me a proper camera app.

one more just for good measure. one picture is from Gcam. for some reason, pictures tend to come out very drab. I increased the saturation and got close.

the neon colors in the OnePlus picture don't exist in these toys.

    this is seriously beyond ridiculous.

I've noticed some great photos in well lit areas....the regular camera (and on portrait) have taken great photos. Where I think a future update could help is indoors, unnatural lighting or in low lit areas. If you look at the photos, the first baby picture is taken at night in a bedroom whereas the 2nd one is in the morning with sunlight coming in. His skin looks completely unnatural in the first image. With the natural light coming in for the 2nd image, it visibly looks a lot better. As well, the third image was taken outdoors and again looks great.

So if some detail in helping the image look crisper and more realistic with unnatural light, I think you guys have a winner.

I have also been requesting for a feature (for more than two years now) to be included in the Phone App - Company Name to display while receiving calls from stored contacts. But never really received any positive update from OP and it's team. Hope they respond and include this feature.

After finally getting some time with the phone/camera (OP7 PRO) I would like to offer my feedback.

I've had mixed results but in the most part, the camera takes great photos. the Main lens is great, most of the time, the Tele lens is good most of the time and the wide angle for me is a little disappointing with lack of detail, blurriness and edges looking stretched and out of focus.

The main gripe for me is portrait photos of people, and the ridiculous amount of horrid smoothing taking place after the shot is taken. i took my son out today and snapped some shots of him and every single one, has over aggressive smoothing to his face and his hair. His hair doesn't even look like real hair, it's just a blurry mess thanks to the processing. I know it's not the lens because I also took some photos with the Gcam app and they look great but it's so buggy and crashed a lot it's really not a solution to this awful processing.

I also noticed too much contrast a lot, taking away a lot of detail in shadows.

This is a real shame because I have taken some amazing photos using macro mode in the pro settings, also some great landscape shots and if not using portrait, some good shots of people too, with hair intact!!

Please take a look at the processing for portrait photos, something is killing the detail in the shots taken in this mode. Can you not reverse engineer the Gcam app and see what it does? That is maintaining far more detail than the stock app.

Happy to provide sample shots if needed.

    many thanks
