Same. Mine also 15 months old 😭 and the warranty period was 12 months so no good news for me.

Nope it would not but it's too tight so if the build quality of OnePlus 8T phones are not great as we expected there could be a problem. At this point when you think about OnePlus just expect disappointment , then you can never really be disappointed.

I really doubt even the tightest of cases would cause it...theres enough clearance even if it's a tight fit.

Pressure being applied to the display / bezel is a possibility......While putting on or removing the cases.

Again comes down to the phones construction.

Same here... Pink line after updating to 12.... I think new phones have no enough build quility... Because I started using oneplus2. It is still working without any issues. And I bought OnePlus 3 and 3t and have no issues. Then i bought OnePlus 6t.. some issues like volume button not working after 1 year.. now I bought one plus 8t. Got a vertical pink line after 1.3y. Went to OnePlus authorised service center. They said it is a hardware problem. One of them told me 'did it came after updating OS 12'. They said to use this with line or pay 14k..😡🤬 this will be my last OnePlus phone.... Planning to change to different brand. Will recommend others not to buy OnePlus phones

I too have a OnePlus 8t and my display has also got the same way with many lines now. I haven't dropped my phone evenbone time. Really sad to see a brand so bad with their service. I have seen a lot of my friends with same issue. They also haven't dropped the phone. OnePlus is going really shit now....!

Same damn issue. I was casually using this morning and a pink line popped out of nowhere. My phone never fell and is always with a protection case and screen guard. Is this something related to hardware? Do I need to change the screen?

I am also facing green lines issues on 8t and the phone didn't even fall, also the worst part is my phone is out of warranty.
This is why we should not have to trust on china products

Yes, you have to change the screen otherwise use it with the pink vertical line at least those are the options that my seller gave me.

jesus! it seems i'm not the only one. this happened on my device just yesterday. i'm not even sure what caused the line to appear. i never dropped it nor pressed hard on it smh
