Pixels randomly do a "wave" through the screen

    MustiAksoy, Nov 5, 2018 :
It's a little bit hard to explain and it's really hard to take a screenshot of. Basically what happens is when the screen is on (mostly after a screen unlock), there is a wave of pixels turning pink/purple throughout the screen. It does not affect anything else but really annoying. Any ideas?

How often do you encounter this issue , also is it possible that you can use another device and record/ or even try screen recoding and uploading so other members can see?
It could be a bug, hopefully there is a way to fix.

Bro that's just the live wallpaper you are using. Just change the wallpaper to normal you won't be able to those things. OnePlus has introduced new wallpapers including live wallpapers. Just press and hold on the screen and then change the wallpaper.

It happens really randomly. Impossible to record.

Haha if that was the problem that would've been stupid. The reason I call it a wave is because it seems like it. It happens in any app or screen. A couple rows of pixels turn pink/purple and that goed from top to bottom. Definitely not a live wallpaper

I just witnessed what you are referring to. Except mine just went from the bottom near the edge of where the keyboard is, and up just a bit. I will have to keep an eye out for this. Its too early to tell if its my eyes playing tricks on me or not.

It's good to know I'm not alone :p
I already did a factory reset (just the first thing to do with big issues) and that did not help sooo [e]1f440[/e]
Could it be because of a different screen calibration?

I am facing the same issue... this wave starts from the top and gradually disappears as it goes down... for me it occurs at the lock screen... mine is 6T 6/128 variant... its rare and really hard to capture..

i think you may be talking about a property of amoled screens. when a pixel is black and tries to go white it needs to shift slowly which is why you see a purple pink tinge briefly before it switches fully. I noticed this with my OP6t

How long does this take? if it is more than a few micro seconds the display cable may be slightly loose. (this is a sign that data was lost while pushing the image

    This is called "screen tearing"

This is most likely a hardware issue and you should go to a service center

Though do try to reflash the stock ROM once
