My one plus one was working fine and for some reason i got a notification. One of those pop ups that says "lock screen not working" and it wouldn't go away. I had two options "report" and "okay" when i hit "okay it would go away for like a 1/10th of a second and then reappear. I tried entering the recovery and factory reseting. thinking that it would perhaps fix the problem with the lock screen. But it didn't. For some reason now whenever I try to turn on my Phone it goes to the Oneplus boot screen and doesn't go any further. What should I do next?

If you can get into recovery clear cache and dalvik cache. If running custom ROM that isn't CM11S, reflash that ROM in recovery but only delete cache and dalvik. So you won't lose any personal data.

Dude, i binned that junk os long time ago, i would suggest you do the same. There has been so much tinkering to mask the shortfalls of the device the os has become unstable. Installing another OS will also help you find out if it is software or a hardware, memory, issue.

Yea. Do you know if there is a way to completely get rid of the OS and then re install it or is that just not a thing?

Using fastboot that is certainly a possibility. If you download the cm 11s ROM and then go to recovery and get rid of the system then reinstall the cm 11s ROM. In this method fastboot is unneeded. Do you have a USB otg cable that could plug into external storage?

not a good idea, you may have a physical memory limitation. OS probably has hard coded memory size.
