Feature Needed Background Description The max output should be 192 kHz: https://source.android.com/devices/audio/highres-effects. It's easy to show with an audio player that bypasses OOS limitations like USB Audio Player Pro (UAPP.) With default OOS Android settings, the player gets restricted to 44.1 kHz. Using UAPP, you can set it to bypass OOS' limitations and get the 192 kHz. In build.prop, I think 24bit is set here persist.vendor.audio_hal.dsp_bit_width_enforce_mode=24. I think sampling rates are set in audio.h.
Any other comments Premium streaming services Tidal Masters, Deezer HiFi, and local HiRes files are crippled by OOS.
Please stop crippling OOS to 24bit/48 kHz sampling rates via software. This is happening on all OP devices as I've had the OP5, the 6T, OP7P, and briefly an OP8. Other brands like LG, high end Xiaomi, and other Android devices don't restrict it as well as iOS devices.
