Do you like getting comfortable in bed, switching on a calming video, or just some soothing music and falling asleep? And, once you do fall asleep, does it bother you when you randomly wake up in the middle of the night, realize the audio is still on, and the manually switch it off, and try to fall asleep again?
    Annoying, isn’t it?
This proposed feature would help the OnePlus user break out of this vicious cycle

    Who are the users?
Anybody who likes listening to music or watching something before sleeping

    What is the proposed function?
Have a setting using which the user can define after how much time, or at what time all the media on his phone should pause play.

Have a new feature called the “Pause Play” in which:
    A. The user can define when to Pause Play:
    i. Allow the user to connect his OnePlus to a wearable like a FitBit (or any device that detects sleeps patterns). The OnePlus phone should be able to connect to the wearable and detect when the user is falling asleep and pause media accordingly
ii. OR at what time the media (audio and video) should be paused
(Eg. Pause Play at 11:30 PM) - this feature is already present on the latest OS for audio
iii. OR after how long the media (audio and video) should be paused
(Eg. Pause Play in 25 minutes)
    B. The user can define if he wants the audio volume to be reduced
    i. Set audio volume to half the current volume after/at specified time
ii. OR let the user manually decide what volume to change to after/at specified time

This functionality will not affect the alarms or profile settings (eg. the phone will continue to remain in ring mode if that was set, it will not be affected by the pause).

    What is the user value?
The user can rely on the Pause Play settings to lower volume and switch off media as per his requirements, and not have to disturb his sleep for the same

If there are existing comparable functions in the smartphone industry, how is your proposed feature superior?
    A. Music players like the BlackPlayer Music Player are available for android users which allow the user to set a Sleep timer which switches off music automatically.
However, this timer can only be used within the app, and is not applicable if the user is say watching a video on YouTube. The proposed feature will be able to reduce the volume and pause playing any media on the phone, irrespective of the app it’s coming from
    B. The iOS has a feature called Stop Playing which stops any media after a set time. The drawback of their design is that this feature is integrated with their Timer feature, which means it is critical to remember to switch Stop Playing back to a tone if you want to use the timer in a way that it goes off, if this is not manually done, you won’t hear a tone.
The proposed feature is superior to this one, since it is completely decoupled with any other functionality. The user need not manually have to switch tones to use existing features
    C. The OxygenOS has a feature to mute the audio at a particular time, but it cannot be connected to a wearable. Also, this proposed feature will pause the video as well. The proposed feature will greatly enhance the existing experience
