    #PMChallenge - Scripting

    Q1: Who are the users
Users who use set of steps very often.

Q2: What is the proposed function?
Giving user ability of creating set of things to happen (Scripting) on some event which also can be chosen by user. It can have exceptions of confidential information like passwords.

Eg: On holding fingerprint sensor when screen is locked turn on wifi, open some payment app like PayTm and open payment step for specified merchant.

Events on which this should occur becomes very limited if it is on physical options like buttons or sensors.
Next level of this can be creating custom gestures as events.

Q3: What is the user value?
Users who really uses some routine steps very often can now do all of it in one go.

Eg: A user wants to pay food vendor in his cafeteria for every lunch in his office.
He needs to turn on his phone, turn on wifi, then open his payment app(this has a shortcut thoug), and then scan his QR and then pay.

Now with this feature he can create a script of these steps and can do all this in one step.
By this user save his time which is most precious.

Q4: If there are any comparable functions in the smartphone industry, how is your proposed feature superior?
As i know none of smartphone has this kind of feature. OnePlus would become first to implement feature like this in smartphone world.

    Implementation and design principles

Hello, no worries - you did exactly what you were supposed to :)

I have moved your thread from the Starting Point section to this one. As you can see, it is in the Tech section now.

Edit: Please note, however, that not every attachment is opening on your post. You might want to check that.

The obvious question: how do you disable this behaviour?
And how do you prevent the feature from being an annoyance?

preventing this from unauthorized users u mean???
    it obviously equires authentication.
if the triggering event is fingerprint sensor, then it takes care of authentication

    preventing from annoyance:
if proper authentication is not there then this feature won't trigger
if it is in pocket mode, then also it won't trigger

For the 17 people who would put in the effort to learn how to do this?

    They already have Tasker.
