Hi how you can access these proximity sensor tests, thanks.
5.5 years vr 16.5 years...
sure people use the same phone for 17 years
I don't know anyone who keeps a phone long enough to worry about wearing out the camera popup, unless you're married with a controlling wife.
People have different expectations from a phone, I get that! My expectations are minimal, its a darn phone, ability to call and receive calls, have a good signal without dropped calls, and be able to hear the caller. Other than that I could care less about all the bells and whistles.
No one out there is on the phone more than me. From the time I wake up till I go to bed, 7 days a week. One advantage of being retired and disabled. Not much more I can do.
I listen to iheart radio most of the day, IPTV at night with some You-tube videos. I need loud audio, I like a nice clear screen, other than that its just a phone.
I can't wait till December when the 8 Pro comes out. I'll be on the OnePlus website at 10am ordering it.
My only complaint if I have one is, I wish OnePlus would tweak the sound files up by 20%, therefore I wouldn't need a 3rd party app to raise the volume to the level I need. The dual speakers on this 7 pro + 20% volume lift, really makes this phone come alive.
So far............ I couldn't be happier!
My best suggestion is turn off the "pick up to wake" option. drove me crazy as even just driving along my phone would think it was being picked up from bumps in the road and would turn on the display. With that setting off, it shouldn't try to wake in your pocket.
Go to settings > display > ambient display and turn off "pick up phone to show".
I still have face unlock as a backup, for if the fingerprint doesn't work, but in my experience so far the fingerprint is faster than the face anyway. Overall point being though, I've had no accidental camera popups or dials. something to try. [e]1f609[/e]
doesn't matter if you don't understand
The only thing that matters is that One must be happy with their purchase
Well the pocket mode was Magic enough on the 6t to NOT POCKET DIAL like my 7 Pro. Made 3 calls and rejected one just walking to the store.
of course there's a proximity sensor, how do you think it turns off during a phone call? not sure what this guy is talking about.
You should read the entire conversation before speaking...
or....just read an not reply....that works too.
Freedom of speech I guess...
Is there any way of enabling the pocket Dail prevention mode as it is necessary, to prevent accidentally touches and dails. We can see that the phone goes black while answering the phone , so it should be happening through proximity sensor, So I think OnePlus should bring the same use to pocket mode.
Temporary Solutions :-
1) Turn off Face unlock
2) Turn off Double tap to wake
These two should be minimising the accidentally touches and dails.
Of course there is a proximity sensor and pocket more is baked by default. Try this: enable tap to wake, lock the phone, cover the upper part of the display with the palm and try to wake it.
Read the entire conversation buddy.
Good for you...
