I am experiencing an issue that should already be resolved (see https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/podcast-playback-issue.477817/)
In short: long audio files like podcasts (some podcasts last over 2 hours) are not fully supported by the audio player. Apps like Podcast Addict actually gave me an error message telling me that the internal audio player isn't fully supported. Some other apps have been working for other people and the OnePlus Bug Support team flagged this issue as solved but it isn'

Excuse me. Although this previously was an issue in the Podcast Addict app, it seems to work naturally in Player FM's podcast player. The reason I thought it wasn't was the podcast uploader's fault. It ended abruptly.

Please flag as solved, thank you.

Here, an répondre front podcast addict développeurs
    <<

Playback is handled by the device built-in player, not by the app. The
issue you're describing is, unfortunately, a known issue of recent OnePlus
    3 & 5 firmwares.
It means that the device doesn't fully support the file encoding. Because
of that, every app relying on the device player will have the same issue.
Unfortunately, there's no way to fix this on the app side.
Only a ROM update can fix this. In the meantime, you can disable the
internal player for podcasts experiencing this issue and use a player like
VLC instead as VLC uses its own player engine.

stijnnh - I don't believe think that changing apps is a solution that oneplus would consider adequate. Imaging all the people who don't choose the one app that works with the issue on the phone and get upset. This is an issue that was solved before in version 4.1.1, and therefore can be solved again. Until the OS is updated.

Personally I'm a BeyondPod user. But I guess I'll make the switch to Podcast Addict since I've heard it's widely used and I guess they even have a fix for me now, which is great.

I have the exact same problem in Podcast Addict.

I have the OnePlus 3T with Oxygen OS 5.0.1. The app is up to date: v 3.50.3 (build 1508).

    According to the dev:

    This checks out: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/podcast-playback-issue.477817/

I have the same problem on my one plus 5T. There are two podcasts that won't skip correctly or resume at the correct spot after pausing. The only thing that has helped so far is playing the podcast through VLC. Although that only solves the problem if I don't pause VLC for longer than a few minutes, as it seems to close itself automatically and does not remember the pause position either. I am running the latest update. As one is a podcast I listen to daily this has become quite annoying.

    Hey OnePlus!

It's been two ******* months and no word from you. This is a basic functionality that every $100 phone has. It's also an issue that was resolved and came back again. Every single 3T has this problem (and apparently 5T too). What are you waiting for?

Why doesn't this have priority. This makes listening to long podcasts a disaster.

It seems to occur when skipping to about 45 minutes of podcasts longer than an hour. Also resuming fails beyond this point.
