I'll leave the ice too cool first not straight from the phone then warm the ice a little, then put the phone on?

I'm not sure how hot it will get inside but I'd be wary of the temperature difference. Especially when there is glass involved..

I'm aware of that now I'll probably leave the ice for 5 minutes to stand , or leave my phone on my stone window still which gets pretty cold anyway then place on the ice?

What other kind of ice is there lol? Dry? His way would be more consistent, as the whole phone is immersed.

Linus did it with phones too, and proved the results. Honestly no point of you doing it.

    Moved to offtopic.

As for putting the device(s) in ice. You are free to do it. If you want, do it. If not, we got LinusTT

Wrap the device in a new airtight plastic bag
    Then take some ice
Lower the phone with the plastic bag into the ice

Why ? Because even if the ice melts, the water formed will still be at 0°c . Perfect for benchmarks and constant temperature
