64 is plenty.
i think the 16 gb version will need one....
An sdcard slot would be handy for backing up the phone, OTG is fine if supported
If the phone have 32GB+ im not really bothered by not having a SD card.. 32+ is enough for me!
I'm glad to see that I'm getting responses thank you everyone how has replied thus far.
Buy a quality card and you have nothing to worry about.
People complaining about corruption and slow speed and using at as justification on why SD should be abandoned are just rationalizing a poor, and unpopular design choice in my opinion...
What kind of SD cards are you buying? I have never had one go bad but I don't buy the El cheapo ones either so I don't know if that makes difference.
With KitKat the SD is pretty much useless from what I read - correct me if I am wrong.
Does anyone know how much of the 64GB is user accessible?
ones I bought were from scandisk or they came with the phone, but i did a lot of rooting and flashing then too not just my phone but other peoples as well. so maybe that had something to do with it idk.
Internal memory. Is always. Better, Safer, and more responsive, the perfect solution. Would be having inrnal memo 16,32,64,128
I never had an issue with my SD card or the slot, but I enjoy the fact that there will be a 64gb model that will provide like Fadi said, safer and more responsive memory which will ultimately make the phone faster and prevent a chance for information loss if you store your precious photos and videos on your larger external card.
My gs3 destroyed a 32 gig sd card...i don't use any now and it's not that big of a deal if you use dropbox or Mega...
I still prefer internal storage as it's quicker and you can store apps on it
Yes I use Dropbox and Google to backup everything I need
I agree I actually dont like having too much stuff on my phone at onetime.
with the 64 gb no pb with that
Shoot...my Note1 has 16 internal, plus a 16 external & the total is only about 1/2 full.
About the only thing I do is keep most everything on the external, to keep the internal free, but I don't think it really matters these days. 64 should be enough for most users, but the hard core types might need the external µSD card.
Me to on buying Sandisk, but one SD and 2 micro failures, all replaced with warranty, twice with bigger cards, but bye bye data and no amount of low level looking brought it back.
The biggest advantage of sd is it is faster to back up files. I love me some nandroids. But I admit I haven't had any problem with the Gnex internal SD.
I think if need more than 64 GB you need something more than just a phone. With even hardcore users what our you doing with a phone that need that much storage for day to day usage?
It this a fair poll? I have used the same 32GB card since Nexus one. Never died on me.
