    Hello everyone!

How's your summer holiday going? Hope you have a great time with your family and friends!!

We've lined up another important poll that might have a huge impact on our upcoming products: What's your preferred RAM / storage combination (alongside what price)? The idea for this poll came from our product managers. We're eager to receive your feedback, which can help us develop a clearer direction for our future products.

Let's assume that the price of the next OnePlus product (8GB RAM + 128GB ROM) would be N = $539. Using this option as a starting point, here's a few hypothetical alternatives:
    • The 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM version would be N-40 = $499
    • The 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM version would be N+100 = $639
So, which version do you prefer? Cast your vote now!

It would be interesting to see the pricing for 6gb RAM + 256 GB ROM.

For me, 6Gb + 128GB should be fine, anything over is an overkill.

    Voted for 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM ($N-40) to stay under a $500 price
but, actually, my preferred one would be 6/64 or 8/64: I don't need all that storage, provided I already have more than 2TB of cloud storage (Google Drive + DropBox, not counting OneDrive, Amazon Prime Drive, Mega...)

6GB RAM + 128GB ROM version = $499 or less.. as reasonable as possible , since OP is/was known for giving flagships as killer prices.

I agree with @pa5t1s. I don't need 128 GB ROM. Actually I got the OP3 with 64 GB of ROM and I am using about 25 GB at the moment. By using Cloud storage and streaming music/videos am I saving a lot of space on my mobile device.

Increase in price is okay as long as you give satisfactory performance & support. Rather than making multiple iterative phones (two in an year now), please show some faith in your customers who invest in your products, rather than terminating software support in about an years period.

Ideal scenario of customer satisfaction would be if you release 1 extremely well made flagship per year (irrespective of the price) and show longevity with the support cycle & updates. This will indeed help in boosting the resale value of your product/ first sale value of previous generation products and people will gain trust in the company in the long run, just as the case has been with other leading companies where customers show unhindered faith.

8GB RAM model is better for a long term quality product I suppose as the OS update releases and app sizes are getting larger by the days.

RAM more than 6GB doesn't make much difference, please focus more on storage oneplus since you do not provide external sd card slot. 6GB RAM with 256GB+ storage would be great for $499 [e]1f609[/e]

Glad to see those polls returning. :D I hope you do one also about the fingerprint sensor position. I hope Oneplus never goes Samsung way with that unreal FP sensor position.:sweatsmile:

Personally I feel that this combo is the sweet spot. Enough storage and memory. :) Its hard to justify the extra 100$ on the 256gb version.

Besides that I also feel that it would make more sense to only differentiate the phones based only on storage and not in RAM, it would probably be easy in terms of production and also help on giving the same experience for all users (because supposedly you can tell a difference between the two versions in use, but since I have only the 8gb version I can't really tell if true :p ).

8 gb and 128 storage would be nice, honestly i dont mind too much but the prices of op5 8gb in my country is 750$ which is a shame. so the price should be more of a concern that is why one plus exists in the first place.

TBH, i dont need the extra ram. About The storage, yes you have cloud storages. But, what to do when you are on a slow/limited internet? Or no internet at all? Offline storage is the best. Cloud storage is just for backups.
