I ordered an OPT yesterday off a third-party website which charged a 100 dollar premium. Coming from an Apple user, don't really mind it as the price is already a lot cheaper than an iPhone. Also, I don't like waiting :p

Of course, that's half of OnePlus' marketing. Flagship killer at half the price. Raise the price even by only 100 and it no longer becomes that much cheeper.

I'd gladly pay 100 more if the phone was sold in a store around the corner by a person who would just give it to me once I walked in and gave him cash. But only if this also meant I could go back with it and have it fixed if there is an issue. Like my Note 3. It somehow overheated, I took it to the shop, they had a quick look and said that it was unclear what the cause was. I was worried they would send it to god-knows-where for weeks, but instead the guy just asked me to bring the charger and they gave me a brand new one... Now that was nice!

Oneplus dont offer this service. How much quicker do you think you would be getting the OP2 if you paid in advance, at the moment? They have "slowed down" issuing them out because of manufacturing, quality issues. Oneplus would likely refunding many in the current situation, and incurring additional refund charge costs. Did you have it in mind that Oneplus should spend this extra $100 improving production or quality control? Do you know if an extra $100 would enable this service to be offered?
On the face of it paying an extra $100 should enable service to be guaranteed. This may be the case with a matured/maturing product. The OP2 is not a mature enough product to provide this at present.

I would buy it just because it's a beast of a phone.... I like it a lot :)

So $100 more or less it's still my preference :)
