As the title suggests, I've already come across a few similar threads with touch lag and I've looked them up. But I have new findings which may hopefully help. Here's a video where I switch from swiping with my index to swiping with my thumb as comparison:

    1. Nav gestures, side gestures, generally work fine when I use my thumb. But not my index finger. Does the OS have an overly aggressive way to register touch? I'll admit, I don't really have big fingers so maybe it thinks my finger swipes are "accidental"?

    2. I also noticed touch response is generally poorer around the area where the in-display fingerprint is. If you swipe anywhere while scrolling and your fingers cross that area, there's a slight chance the swipe will be registered as a tap.

    3. None of these issues are present when Gaming Mode kicks in. I don't know why but this reminded me of a time when I tinkered with device kernels on custom ROMs. Although there's no certainty, there may be some "battery saving" algorithms in place when the device is NOT in Gaming Mode which has a chance of exhibiting some touch/response lag (to some extent, but not entirely).

With these in mind, I'm optimistic that this can be fixed (or at least vastly improved) with a software update. Unless, some further investigation suggests otherwise.

PS: This is on a clean, factory install of Oxygen OS 10.3.4GM21AA
