Possible NFC Payment shown on OP's Chinese Website.

    Hi all,

Many of you know by now that the OnePlus 2 won't feature NFC. I know. It was kinda a dealbreaker for me as well. Enough about that, though. This thread isn't purposed to complain about that.
I was browsing the OP2's Chinese website a few moments ago, and noticed something interesting on the page.
    http://www.oneplus.cn/product/oneplus2 (<- link to OP2's Chinese website)
The last sentence in the section that describes the fingerprint reader is this. 不只是快,更支持安全支付。For those of us who don't read Chinese, that translates into "Not only is it fast, it's also secure for payments." Could OP be providing NFC payments on the 2 in China?

Pictures have surfaced of the 2's back cover having two metal connectors which could very well be NFC connectors. In a way this thread serves to strengthen that possibility.

No. The secure for payments part is referring to banking apps, and the play store, which are secured via fingerprint. No nfc here.

I See that this is also talking about possibility of quick charge.
Finally would this only be a matter of system. H2OS vs OxOS ?

They answered on Twitter that the two connectors of the OnePlus 2 aren't for NFC. Maybe it is for a special styleswap which includes wireless charging...

In order for NFC to work, the pohne would not only have to have the appropriate hardware, but also the enabled software for such payments to work. Right now the consensus is that the OP2 lacks the hardware necessary to make NFC payments, in which case no amount of software could implement NFC.

The most interesting part, its about battery, you can notice this :

3300mAh large battery, 200mAh increase over the previous generation, greater capacity, longer battery life. 5V / 2A fast charge, charge 50 percent of a class, 2 hours 11 minutes full.Save time, you can do more things.

There is no fast charging because of the USB connection. This has been said so many times already.

That is very interesting indeed...I didn't notice this the first time I read through. Good job!
OnePlus has recently said that a full charge of the 2 from 0-100 takes under 3:20...where has this fast charging come from then...

there has been 100 different post about the two metal connectors on the style swaps and I'm pretty sure folks are in agreement it is just a way for the OPO 2 to know which style swap is on the phone and adjust background default screens accordingly

I think it's just one touch authentication for Credit Card purchases in App or Google Playstore when they start supporting it.
