For the output you have two factors. One the app or plug could be Messing up and when the phone is on you only get half the amps. 2. The cable could be bad

Look, it is told that the power bank has 10.000 in 3.7, but when you connect your OPO, the power bank converts that 3.7v in 5v, because only 5v can charge the phone, because of that convertation there is a loose... It is physics)

Thanks for the nonconstructive critique of my methods, my friend. This was, of course, not a scientific study. Also, if a product is advertised as 10000mAh, a normal consumer will assume that it will completely charge their 3100mAh battery at least three complete times. I don't give a hoot if in lab conditions it causes the earth's tilt to change if its real life performance is not as expected by a normal person.

Example, bank has 10.000 in 3.7v, ic you want its charging you "X" device in 37v, the just divide the capacy by 10, the rusult will be 1000 in 37v. Something like this...

I understand what you're saying. This was just a average consumer charge-discharge cycle test ti see the irl performance. :)

I begging to believe what you pay for. My OPO takes approximately over two hours to charge. I went from being able to charge it three times with the power bank to only 1.5 before I had to charge it up again.

It has 10000 mAh, they all rate them by the size of the battery used inside. That's standard practice, not just by OP but the entire industry, that you're too dense to understand this shouldn't make a difference.

Like some of the commentators said, I might need the PB to go through a few charge-discharge cycles before it achieves full capacity. I'll update my results in a couple of weeks' time if I see this happen.

To me sounds like you tried to measured the capacity of the bucket filling it to the top, while the bucket had a hole in the bottom of it. Phone should be off at all times during changing to give accurate reading

Don't forget that if ur phone was powered on the whole time u were using power there, and u lost some power during transmission too. That, combined with the other factors ppl have mentioned could explain ur missing capacity

That sounds reasonable - I'll do that the next time to make it more accurate.

3 hours is a lot for 2A output
i can charge my phone in about 1.5 - 2 hours using a wall charger which is 2.1A
can you try to check the charge time while the phone is off? most users will use the phone more when it's connected to a power bank than to a wall charger, and this can change the test results.
i wouldn't count on an app for telling me the amperage of the charging

The battery is probably not perfectly efficient when transferring power from its battery to your phone. Some power is most likely lost through heat and other factors during the charge. You should always expect that the battery will not be able to output all of its stored power with perfect efficiency.
