    Hi all,

I have always been into leather sleeves because I like my phone to be naked when using, but need protection for in-pocket, on-desk and other situations.

    The benefits:
1 - Phone is naked during use
2 - Eliminate need for screen protector
    3 - Protection when in-pocket, in-bag, on-nightstand etc...
4 - Provides a safe surface to place your phone on when you don't trust the desk, table etc not to scratch the back of the phone (lol)

Anyway today I am providing photos for the Brownie Multicolor case by LederBazi, found here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/199507...s one&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

And the Werktat leather case, found here:
    https://www.etsy.com/listing/210639...s one&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

    LederBazi:

    Werktat:

All in all, I like both these cases very much. My initial concern was that the sandstone back would be hard to pull out of the cases thanks to woolfelt, but this improves after just a couple days of regular use. While I feel like the Werktat looks much sexier and more unique, The LederBazi fits better in the pocket due to a thinner layer of leather.

On a side note, I like to switch cases quite often and am looking at some other ones right now as well. If anyone is interested in either of these, PM me and we can discuss. :)

I've never understood the appeal of a sleeve for a phone.

... errr, pretty sure I listed some benefits in OP.
Add to that the fact that you are carrying a high quality leather accessory and presto! Appeal.

I can have a saddle maker do one for 15 bucks with a nice goatskin internal with horsehide exterior. I can't believe the price people are getting for cheap leather and terrible stitching. if you don't know much about leather just take a look at the stitching. If it looks cheap the whole thing is cheap.

I can assure you these are not cheap cases. I am no leather expert but I can at least tell when leather feels cheap in the hand, and I recognize the difference between natural leather smell and chemically treated cheap leather smell.

As for the first part of your post... I'm actually very interested in talking to a saddle maker now. O_O

The black one looks like rear quarter cromahex and the tan one looks like veggie tan rear quarter cow hide. The leathers may be OK and even on the finest leathers, the smell will go away.

The stitches are the tell tale sign on you 5k saddle 1k jacket or 500,dollar boots. You pay it forward out here and demand it lasts forever. The black one was cut in seconds with bad hits on the stitch and poor cuts. The tan one lazily place to stitch over a surface area that will be in contact with every day use.
