problems with cam? via OnePlus 8 Pro

    Hello,

    I have already read somewhere about similar problems. I dont know where, so i opened a new thread (sorry if this was already reported.)
    So far i like the camera.
    But when shooting in bright sunlight , i often get an effect in the picture of the sun ( i scolled into the pic, to make it obvious)

    is anyone having the same problems? is oneplus working on an update?

    This should not happen. It could be super simple: try to clean the lens.....but honestly I doubt that will help.

    So, if cleaning doesn't help, please contact the OnePlus customer support. To me (tho I am not a technician!) this seems like a defect.

    It was surley not a dirty lens, in some situations the pics were fine, in others i got this effect. When holding the phone in a different angle, the effect moved on the pic..

    I know that i read somewhere, that someone had the same problem, but don't know where anymore ..

    But thx for the help, guess i will contact Oneplus... This phone is to expensive to ignore this.

    Wanted to keep you up to date.

    Contacted Oneplus support and explained them the problem.
    He asked me immediately if there is some kind of rainbow where colours are different int the images.
    He also told me that i will recieve a new phone, without me even asking..
    I assume that they already know about that problem...

    Here is another pic i made today. Seems that my lens cant handle dark area in bright skies

    Another thing:
    i was told i will get an information mail how to proceed. but havent got one yet.. will it cone when replacement phone is sent?

    They seem to know the problem. And to replace the phone... at least thats what i was told in the support chat.. :)

    Let's see how long it takes... :)

    hängt davon ab wo du das gerät gekauft hast. je nachdem wo dus gekauft hast entweder bei amazon support oder bei oneplus.com melden

    Soll ich dann direkt bei denen anfragen oder haben Sie bei Oneplus den Austausch angefordert?

    okay, seems my replacment has been forgotten...
    so i contacted them once again this evening...
    after 20 minutes of waiting ,i was told to do it myself...
    really getring frustrated soon!! what a poor customer service

    Did you bought your phone directly by OnePlus store?

    I bought it in a phone shop in Amsterdam.
    I hope they will listen and exchange the phone.
    I sent them a screenshot of the message off the OnePlus customer care.

    That’s called lens flair. It’s most likely caused by a faulty anti-reflective coating over the camera lens. Judging by how many of you are complaining about it, I’m guessing there is at least one bad batch that came out of the OnePlus factory.
