Still dont get emails i have to keep rebooting my phone daily its a joke !
After disabling battery optimization for gmail it seems to work ok!
Hi guys, just want to share i solved this issue by completely OFF-ing Developer option.
Simply disabling doze and all other method in this thread didn't work/ work intermittently for me.
A bit of a sacrifice but really saved me a lot of trouble(My colleague communicate in whatsapp)
Hope it helped .
Hi, I am not sure I understood what you did snd how you solved the problem, could you be more specific please?
After running some tests (which most of us have already done) I've got this from OP Support...
We've forwarded this to our ROM Team and they are now working on a fix.
Setting > Developer option
off this mode like the picture above.
It solved the whatsapp getting "killed" issue for me.
Did you set Doze mode off before off-ing entire dev mode?
Svetlisav,did you try with Samsung?
I have the same problem.
Notifications only on limited apps, mainly whatsapp, facebook, gmail and a few games.
But other apps such as Outlook (!) and others do not give notifications at all.
Quite annoying, I've checked all permissions, but everything seems to be set up correctly.
I did have a Note 4, wanted to get myself Note 7 but then happened what happened. Note is definitely my cup of tea. With OP3 I have two major issues: notifications sync and camera stabilizator (if any object is moving forget about clear picture, burst mode doesn't help either). We'll see...
Did you turn Doze off before disabling Dev mode? Although I have no probs with Whatsapp, Viber, but I do with K9, Instagram etc.
I'm having this problem as well with my OP3, running Oxygen OS 3.2.8.
Contacted OP support last week, have not heard back yet. My WhatsApp, BlueMail, Gmail all stop getting notifications after about 20 mins of idling. My instant messages are no longer remotely close to being "instant" anymore and this is very frustrating.
I first noticed it on WhatsApp while using Web App of WhatsApp, it notifies me that my phone is disconnected from the network. At first I thought it was my cellular network but this result was consistent on WiFi. I even crossed checked on my colleague's OP3 which had the exact same issue running the exact same firmware.
Seriously OnePlus support, do something.. This may be my first and last One Plus product.
Make sure the apps that aren't pushing notifications are not being optimized under the battery settings.
Tried thar, didnt work.
You have to reboot the phone every f****** day !
Quite annoying.. I am facing similar issue. If the app is not in recents list or locked to it, then there will be no notifications for apps such as instagram, news apps which pushes news updates as and when it happens.
Please help if you find any solution to it.
Thanks in advance
So for me at CB 8 no further problems. Even Gmail can now be white listed and works in my case
this is quiet strange
For me most of the apps slowly started move out of push notifications (even though they have notifications enabled) and they usually start again whenever I do a reboot. But now all of them are dead except whatsapp and few others.
And now suddenly the stock messenger seems to be gone silent .. ocassionally it shows notifications if the messages are from persons. For messages from Banks or etc they never show up. Need to go into the app to read them.
Tried this ADB fix but still the same
Any more tips???
