What happens if you just exclude an app from the battery optimization thing in the battery page? Seems to work for me and I added whatsapp and a voip app to it, didn't really impact my battery life either, i still get almost 2 days worth of use from one charge.

This was discussed here I think 10 times now... The battery optimization feature does NOT work, because it seems to be deactivated through OP.

I'm not sure if it does or doesn't work for him, or if it was changed in an update and he hasn't updated.

I get that it doesn't work, I'm saying there is an option in it to exclude apps from being "optimized" has anyone tried that before? 2016-07-20 22.53.35.png 2016-07-20 22.53.47.png

This is what everyone is saying does not work, the exclusion/whitelist feature. Even if you exclude Gmail from Battery Optimization, you will still not get notifications.

One thing I have noticed. I use an android smart watch. If i set on my smart watch "do not disturb" the notifications on the oneplus 3 are also off. If I disable "do not disturb" on the smartwatch, I have to manually disable "do not disturb" on onplus 3. I have made this by using the shift button on the phone. One more thing I have noticed. After disabeling "do not disturb" on phone I have no dialer sounds (when I enter a number, and no camera shutter sound). The sounds came back when I increase/decrease the volume on the phone once.

I liked what they did with crome, in saying that maybe I was the only one.

Still no ota for this, how long has this thread being going? Oneplus needs to get their act together and get this fixed.
A few pages back i tried to get people to contact other forums and websites like trusted reviews android police ect to highlight this issue,i don't think many people did. .......to busy complaining here......?
I could live without a sim in my phone for a week, but not with app notification,a phone without notification is just plain useless.

Happy for the people who are reporting the issues as fixed for the time being, but none of it has worked for me. Not PNF, not heartbeat fixer, not the Script Manager.
Seems like the only way forward is to waste another 3 hours of my life flashing a CM ROM and live without dash charging.

If you use the ADB fix from the first post it will fix it until you reboot and you'll still have Dash charging.

Hopefully a proper OTA solution is just around the corner

    You're talking about
    Code:
    dumpsys deviceidle disable
I did it with script manager. No go.

Did you follow the full instructions from Grahams post (on page 6 I think), I've been using this method for weeks and it works flawlessly

Yes I did. I also turned on notify, alongwith Su and Boot just to make sure it is applying on boot. I get a notification saying Disable Doze:0 at every reboot.
Then I keep a watch on whatsapp web to see how long it takes for it to show "Phone not connected", doze still kicks in, GCM still loses connection religiously.

@Chronus.23 possibly an issue with using it in conjunction with root, I'm not rooted myself so can only go by my own experience. Hope you work it out or better still we get a proper fix ASAP

The command works perfectly for me. Using Script Manager, it has root privileges and launches on boot. running OOS 3.2.1. rooted, Xposed. Sorry to say but you must be doing something wrong.

The only difference between that and what I did is that I am running FreedomOS. It's a debloated version of Stock. Also running systemless root and systemless xposed. Don't know if that makes a difference.
Also should say that I tried PNF and Heartbeat Fixer before I tried the script. But I have since deactivated both. Whatsapp optimisation is disabled although that should make no difference either way.
