    Probably didn't ask very clearly...

I understand that I would have to use your command line fix without root. My question is can you use that command line from within that apk application once it is installed on your phone? Or do you HAVE to do it through a PC?

If you have the delayed notifications issue, and have applied my adb shell command line fix,
correctly, then this fixes the issue - 100%
so if the issue still exists, go back and read my instructions again, and apply the fix.

Anyone tried the 3.1.3 non official "OTA" update on the phone to see if it is fixed in that also?

The apk fix with root, places a properties page on your phone that allows you to adjust all of the doze mode settings on your phone, it is not for the pc.

I've had the OnePlus Support twitter account "assure" me that they'll be taking a look at this issue. Let's hope for a quick OEM solution.

I understand it isn't for the PC...

Your fix (the command line) has to be run on the PC with your instructions.....

Can you also run your command line (dumpsys deviceidle disable) in the application (apk) on the phone?

there is no need to run the command line fix from the application for root, as it has the ability to disable doze mode
from within the app property page..
    see: @Adipekar post:
"So I tested the aforementioned Doze Mode Editor from XDA-Developers Forums and straight up turned off Doze. Phone idled over night, all notifications came in in a timely manner and battery drain over night was 2% (which is perfectly fine for me, as long as I get push notifications on a consistent basis)."
EDIT it appears you can run the command: dumpsys deviceidle disable
from within the app page. but as I am not rooted,
I have not checked the results.

Link doesnt work... why use only if rooted? The first post on XDA says it will offer and adb command line if it finds no root.

    I am so confused! :(

I can confirm this works without rooting your phone. I hardly ever completely reboot my phone, so I'm glad this is a short term fix.

To save confusion just use my adb command line fix:
    Here:

very easy, and root permission is not required.
the apk. app fix is quite complicated and technical/requires in depth knowledge
of the Android system, wake states, and doze functions, and also requires root access permissions.

I am stuck with waiting for the phone anyway - they wont cancel my order so it looks like I will have to cross my fingers that this gets sorted before i get it.
