Why are you guys pushing the third party apps like Amazon through your software update??

This is exactly what we don't want, it's like samsung's way of doing things.

First they installed Facebook apps and now they are pushing Amazon apps . Only USP for oneplus phones were they were clean with no 3rd party apps. They are following same steps as other OEMs definitely have this will change my decision for the next phone I purchase.

Its one of the things I liked about OP, no bloatware..., what has happened to OP? They continue to disappoint. Who keeps making these bad decisions and when did they stop listening the community?

OnePlus has done the very thing today that they avoided for years to make Oxygen OS a fan favourite and a single OTA update has ruined everything.
First oxygen OS 11 not so light and near stock android any more and now this... there will be times they will send other apps in OTA updates as well... this is frist time ever some company has done this.. I guess it's time to break the 3 year old relationship

As long as it is just an app and one that can be uninstalled like in this case, I wouldn't mind that. But if they do what they did with the Nord by installing Facebook services, then there is a big problem.

Amazon app can be uninstalled. Even the Netflix app can be uninstalled now, earlier only option to disable was present.

I too have a strange patch on my display. I believe it is the pre-installed screen guard. Will only know when I remove it.

When i was setting up the device,it didn't have one. But after 1 or 2 hours it appeared out of blue. Filed a RMA and will visit service centre tomorrow. Let's see what will be their reply. I have attached the dead pixel image in OnePlus 8T general section please have a look and tell me if it's same as yours ?
