It seems very weird that my thread is a sticky. First of all I only joined a month and a week ago. Secondly, all of the other stickies are by mods/admins. Finally, I don't even have the OP2 yet! This is so cool and weird at the same time!

I already have enough likes for Ice Cream Sandwich and only 3 posts away from Honeycomb!

Tried wiping cache and formatting system and it still persists. I also think it's a software issue as those white particles keep moving.. Anyone other suggestions? Tried the anti virus as well

    Try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ixels&pcampaignid=APPU_1_V9z1VdC3KMnhaMCAtLgN

    Run for 6 - 12 hours.

If not fixed/if don't want to wait contact support with pictures by submitting ticket, and then telling live chat to make it urgent as it is a big problem.

    Wipe dalvik cache if possible.

    Also check your display settings.

i tried that too. i called customer service and she walked me through all these steps and nothing. she kept insisting on skipping the google login and I did not have that option. i only saw "next" still when I clicked next, does not let me proceed.

i might as well return it. she put in a ticket so i may be helped remotely. i have not received it yet. i will try to be patient

This question has already been answered in the thread and by someone previously.

Rooting and unlocking bootloader does not void warranty.

The technical process of rooting or unlocking the bootloader does not void the warranty of the OnePlus One (and Two) . However, we strongly suggest for you to only root or unlock the bootloader of the OnePlus One (and Two) if you are confident that you understand the risks involved.

By accessing resources regularly unavailable to software, the process may damage your hardware during or after the procedure, which is not covered under warranty. In warranty handling, we will need to verify that any faulty behavior is unrelated to rooting / unlocking first.

The same rules apply to the OnePlus Two.
