If you have any issues, first make sure you check if there is already a solution. You can do this by checking this thread, searching the forums and other parts of the internet (e.g. YouTube/Google). If even then you still have issue(s), post on this thread (or create a new thread).

    Things to try first:

    • Close apps and reopen
    • Reboot device
    • Clear cache + ART/Dalvik in recovery

    Are OnePlus phones water resistant?
Currently, there are not any OnePlus devices that have an IP certification against water resistance. The OnePlus 7T (Pro) will have some protections against water ingress but warranty will be void on contact with water.

Water resistant under certain conditions. OnePlus does not recommend excessive submersion.

The limited warranty does not cover:
    • Defects or damage resulting from accidents, neglect, misuse or abnormal use; abnormal conditions or improper storage; exposure to liquid, moisture, dampness, sand or dirt; unusual physical, electrical or electromechanical stress.
Which bands/frequencies does my device support?
    OnePlus 7T:
    GSM: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz
    WCDMA: 1 / 2 / 4 / 5 / 8 / 9 / 19
TD-SCDMA: varies on region, see below
CDMA EVDO: varies on region, see below
FDD-LTE / TDD-LTE: varies on region, see below

    North America:
    FDD-LTE: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 7 / 8 / 12 / 13 / 17 / 18 / 19 / 20 / 25 / 26 / 28 / 29 / 30 / 46 / 66 / 71
    TDD-LTE: 34 / 38 / 39 / 41 / 48
    CDMA EVDO: BC0 / BC1 / BC10

    India / China:
    TD-SCDMA: 34 / 39
    FDD-LTE: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 7 / 8 / 12 / 13 / 17 / 18 / 19 / 20 / 26 / 28 / 29
    TDD-LTE: 34 / 38 / 39 / 40 / 41
    CDMA EVDO: BC0 / BC1

    Europe:
    FDD-LTE: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 7 / 8 / 12 / 13 / 17 / 18 / 19 / 20 / 25 / 26 / 28 / 29 / 32 / 66
    TDD-LTE: 34 / 38 / 39 / 40 / 41

    OnePlus 7T Pro:
    GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
    WCDMA: 1 / 2 / 4 / 5 / 8 / 9 / 19
    FDD-LTE: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 7 / 8 / 12 / 13 / 17 / 18 / 19 / 20 / 25 / 26 / 28 / 29 / 32 / 66

Does rooting / unlocking bootloader void warranty?
"The technical process of rooting or unlocking the bootloader does not void the warranty of a OnePlus Device. However, we strongly suggest for you to only root or unlock the bootloader of a OnePlus device if you are confident that you understand the risks involved.

By accessing resources regularly unavailable to software, the process may damage your hardware during or after the procedure, which is not covered under warranty. In warranty handling, we will need to verify that any faulty behavior is unrelated to rooting / unlocking first."

Is there a pre-applied screen protector?
A standard screen protector is pre-applied (professionally fitted) at the factory as gift and to minimise damage. It is not a premium or tempered glass.

Is there a case included with the phone?
A translucent TPU case is included.

Why is glass used rather then metal?
Glass allows for much better signal penetration than metal. This means that no antenna bands are required.

OnePlus has taken advantage of this design by allowing for more bands as well as 4x4 MIMO support for cellular and 2x2 MIMO for Wi-Fi.

    Is wireless charging available?
While the back of the devices are glass, there is no wireless charging available due to lack of hardware.

    OnePlus has explained why here:
    https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/lets-talk-about-wireless-charging.676075/

Will other chargers work with my device?
Other 5V chargers (and Quick Chargers) should work with OnePlus devices but you may not achieve the maximum charging speeds that you can using the included/official Fast adaptor and cable. Therefore, it is recommended to use the official Fast adaptor and cable.

In the case of the OnePlus 7T (Pro), a Warp Charge 30T adaptor and official cable is required to deliver the full speed. The 20W Fast adaptor will, however, charge at rapid speeds though not WARP speeds. In addition to that, the OnePlus 7T (Pro) is USB-PD compliant and will charge at 18W PD speeds.

How to install ADB and fastboot:
    1) Download the latest android platform tools from the following link: https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
    2) Extract it to: %USERPROFILE%\adb-fastboot (copy and paste)
    3) Search for environment variables in Windows Search and choose Edit the system environment variables:

    4) Click Environment variables within System Properties:
    5) Select Path under System variables, then click edit:
    6) Click New and add the following code to it and save:
    %USERPROFILE%\adb-fastboot\platform-tools
    [IMG]
    7) Install the universal ADB drivers, then reboot: https://github.com/koush/UniversalAdbDriver

Detailed instructions can be found here for Windows / macOS / Linux: https://wiki.lineageos.org/adb_fastboot_guide.html

    How to unlock bootloader:
Make sure to backup important files as unlocking bootloader will wipe files and data on your device.
If you have a carrier locked device (e.g. T-Mobile), be careful as the same steps may not apply.

    T- Mobile Steps:
    T-Mobile bootloader unlock: https://support.oneplus.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/588/~/how-to-unlock-bootloader-for-oneplus-6t-(t-mobile-edition)
    Unlock Form: http://www.oneplus.com/unlock_token

After you have installed the drivers, ADB and fastboot, you can proceed to unlocking your bootloader.

    1) Enable USB debugging and OEM unlock

Go to Settings > About Phone > Tap Build number 7 times.
Go to Settings > Developer's Options > Enable USB debugging
Also in Settings > Developer's Options, Enable OEM unlock, type in your PIN/Pattern/Pass code.
    2) Connect your OnePlus 7T (Pro) to your computer

Select Always allow from this computer and click OK (You may not get this prompt)
    3) Boot your OnePlus 7T (Pro) into Bootloader/Fastboot mode (POWER + VOLUME UP)

    4) Whilst in Bootloader/Fastboot mode, connect your OnePlus 7T (Pro) to your PC and allow the drivers to install.

    5) Open a command window

For this you have to open a folder
    Hold shift and right click
Choose Open a command window / PowerShell window here
    [IMG]

    6) Run this code to ensure fastboot is working.

    Code:
    fastboot devices
If it returns with your serial number you can continue with the process, if not you need to ensure your drivers are correctly setup.

To unlock your OnePlus 7T (Pro), run this code:

    Code:
    fastboot oem unlock
This will begin the unlock process on your OnePlus 7T (Pro) and will come up with a new screen on your device. Choose Yes and it will reboot automatically.
    7) To make sure that the bootloader has been unlocked, reboot the phone into fastboot mode. Open a command window and run this code:

    Code:
    fastboot oem device-info
    It should return with:

Device tampered: true (for some people this may say false but still work)
    Device unlocked: true

How to install custom recovery (and root - optional):

    1) Enable USB debugging

Go to Settings > About Phone > Tap Build number 7 times.
Go to Settings > Developer's Options > Enable USB debugging & OEM Unlocking.

    2) Download these two TWRP recovery files and place both of them on your computer and place the zip file on your phone's internal storage:

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, THESE FILES ARE NOT OFFICIAL AND DECRYPTION MAY NOT WORK, AND THESE MIGHT BRICK YOUR DEVICE. MAKE SURE TO CHOOSE CORRECT DEVICE - Pro and non-Pro variants differ!

    7T:
    Image File: Not yet available
    Zip File: Not yet available

    7T Pro:
    Image File: Not yet available
    Zip File: Not yet available

Rename the .img file to recovery.img (make sure to rename it recovery.img and not recovery.img.img)

Rename the .zip file to recovery.zip (make sure to rename it recovery.zip and not recovery.zip.zip)

Also, it you want to root your device, place the Magisk zip in your phone's file storage, download the latest "Magisk-vXX.X.zip" from here:
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445

REMEMBER TO PLACE THE ZIP FILE IN YOUR PHONE'S INTERNAL STORAGE.

    3) Boot your OnePlus 7T (Pro) into Bootloader/Fastboot mode (POWER + VOLUME UP)

    4) Open a command window in the folder where your recovery.img file is.

For this you have to open a folder
    Hold shift and right click
Choose Open a command window / PowerShell window here
    [IMG]

    5) Run this code to boot into recovery:

    Code:
    fastboot boot recovery.img
    6) Once in TWRP, navigate to Install and flash the recovery.zip file

    7) Now navigate to Reboot > Recovery to boot back into recovery and ensure TWRP has stayed. If you want root go to step 8, if not go to step 9.

    8) Optional: if you want root, navigate to Install and flash the Magisk zip now

    9) You may now Reboot to System

NOTE: TWRP will get removed after every update on the device, you will have to flash each time.

How to root your OnePlus 7T (Pro):
First of all, you need to make sure you have a custom recovery installed (check the instructions above)

    1) Save the latest Magisk zip to your phone's internal storage:

    2) Boot into recovery mode (POWER + VOLUME DOWN)
    3) Click Install
    4) Select the Magisk zip and Swipe to confirm flash
    5) Once done, Wipe Dalvik/ART Cache and Cache and reboot

To verify root, install Root Checker from the Play Store

How to make a Nandroid Backup with TWRP:
Nandroid Backups are important as they backup your stock system, so in case you ruin your phone you can roll back to the Nandroid Backup (similar to Windows system image) via TWRP.

    1) To create a Nandroid Backup, enter recovery mode (TWRP)
    2) Select Backup
    3) Select Boot, Recovery, System, Data, Cache and EFS
    4) Swipe to backup (this may take some time)
    5) Once done, reboot to system

    How to backup EFS:
    Not yet available

    Restore EFS Backup:
    Not yet available

    Restore Nandroid Backup:
    1. Boot into TWRP Recovery (VOLUME DOWN + POWER)
    2. [Only and Only if you want to restore /system and /data too from the Backup] Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select Dalvik + System + Data + Cache > Swipe to Wipe. Go back to TWRP Home.
    3. Go to Restore Menu and select the backup you want to restore.
    4. Select the partitions you want to restore.
    5. Swipe to Restore. The process will take some time.
    6. Reboot

Thank you @Alvie I look forward to reading this. I picked up the phone at the London Pop-up earlier so this is essential reading.

The OnePlus staff were amazing in London, it did not go as smoothly as they would have liked (not their fault), but the crowd stayed in high spirits and enjoyed the games, prizes. A BIG THANKS to all the OnePlus staff who organised the launch/pop-up, you must be exhausted, but I know you have more organised for Monday. Your work and smiles were appreciated.

Thanks @Martin70 - nice to hear you've picked up a 7T series phone. A lot of this thread is still a work on progress so if you have any questions, I'll try my best to answer them.

Also, agreed - great job to the OnePlus staff for the launch and the pop ups! (And good luck for Monday????)

Just a point I was wondering. How valid is this in the current A/B partitioning devices?

I regret buying this device. I observe random restart specifically during a call.
Camera is very much hyped but the output is not that great.
Battery drains way faster than 7 even with 60 hz.
They should have provider larger battery to acomodate 90hz. OnePlus, if you are reading this, current market strategy of the way you are launching devices is also not good.
I purchased OnePlus 7 a while back and now it's price is already dropped with a month. All old (but last recent) phone holder feels betrayed and cheated.
