Why is the OPT charger bigger than the OPO??? Can it be related to the FastCharging?

so google's nexus series is also ridiculous?

the usb-c port OnePlus is using is compatible to usb 2.0, 3.0 and 3.1 - who really needs the the ultra fast transfer speed of usb 3.1 to a smartphone?

you can buy a usb 2.0 (or 3.0) to usb-c cable at amazon you don't need to buy it from OnePlus...

and personally i love the usb-c port because of it's benefits...

I think fast charging also need fast adapter so don't dream of quick charging with any updates, just leave it I am still happy with my phone.

so you have taken a look @ the kernel sources (as i did) and you have found the kernel related OTG stuff (which i haven't found) and so you absolutely sure that you are right (like in nexus type -c case)...

ok the last thing from me here is the future will tell...

OPPO isn't doing the OnePlus thing any more. One of their phones (a couple of models, I think it was the Find 7 and 7a) closely resembled the OPO, but quite a bit better in terms of display, notification light (that thing looked awesome), price, etc. I think OnePlus has deviated from the OPPO path and the two are only related by ownership.

Not really. Since "oneplus" has absolutely nothing but an office on a high floor of an office building in Shenzhen, north east of Hong Kong, in an office business district, they have NO manufacturing, and, use Oppo to build the phones, which always look like an Oppo phone. The 2 looks exactly like the upcoming Find9, with missing features from the OnePlus variant.

Quick Charge is not licensed. You just gotta add the proper HW to support it, no royalties to pay.

I've opened a while ago a thread about this, but mods, being "smartases" like they are, merged my thread with all the other complains about Quick Charge, while my thread was actually informative about this stuff. MAYBE you can find were it got merged on my profile page -> comments, but well... fact is, they did not include type-C fast charging because "there was no licenced Power Managament System compatible with Type-C when they designed the phone" ... I still call that bullshit, as they knew what they were gonna do and they could've pushed for licensing some PMS... Also, I hightly doubt that QualComm did not have any brand/squematics to provide. As they rlly want this to be everywhere so... it's 100% OP fault.

OnePlus has nothing but the same sponsors as OPPO, 20% of the personal from OPPO that went to OnePlus and the same manufacturing line... nothing in common...
