The Google lens button is right next to the shutter button. Due to android restrictions they can't add it directly in the camera anymore.

Since the latest updates you can now access Google Lens directly in your home screen Google Search Bar. Fast and easy ...

I have yet to test it, but even though I use my Google lens often, I went through my settings and found that camera and file permissions were still turned off for Google lens. Turned them back on again, so we shall see🤞🏽

Im having the same problem. Can't scan any QR code with the camera app and I'm REALLY UPSET reading people suggesting to use Google Lens.
The problem is in the camera app which I have always used to scan QR codes.
Google lens is not a solution! It's just another way!!!
OP bug fixing team MUST solve it. End of discussion!

In the latest camera API from Google they can't integrate it as before anymore. That's why there's a lens button right next to the shutter button now. You don't need to use a separate app, just a separate mode in the app.
