    Not really. Flashing a custom kernel such as Franco's or AK will make it so your phone charges faster.

    Ok here is the problems with "Quick charge" that they don't tell you

    1) causes more heat
    2) over amp
    3) while charged in less time you get less time before next charge is needed
    4) battery decay

    Reasons
    The extra heat charges the battery in less time but gives a lower quality charge you have to charge sooner than a normally charge to same % battery decay is caused by extra heat and that puts extra stress on the internal wires and the polymer that is bound to the lithium this could result in the lipo battery becoming a 1,375° f cigarette lighter

    They said that HTC M7 & M8 are compatible with new htc quick charger 2.0 cuz they contain Qualcomm 8 series SOC....i think OPO should also support Qualcomm Quick charge 2.0.

    Maybe, still 45Celsius is not acceptable under normal conditions - "aftermarket" battery maybe or no name charger

    So the thermometer on the battery is wrong(1st time hearing this and it smells bad - I don't believe it in other words, more possible that the battery is broken, phone is damaged than thermometer is damaged)

    It has quick charge just not advertised, charger is 2.1A quickcharge works on 2A ..so imagine why is that? (also snapdragon 801 supports this and we have 801) - I said it in the past although not remember if it was in this topic

    Can't be more wrong, Quick charge is giving 2A to the phone, our phone can be charged with 2A hence we have a 2.1A charger - we have fast charged ...trust me

    P.S. My bro has Xiaomi Mi3 having a 3050mAh battery just a little smaller than ours(3100 ours) and the charger is 1A, snapdragon 800 cpu which doesn't have quick charge and needs 2-2:30 hours to charge ..we have quick charge saying it once more ..the end.

    I tried to charge my brothers phone with our charger but the phone doesn't accept more than 1A charger ..so the time charging is exactly the same(phones have internal circuitry so overcurrent, overheating are prevented)

    OPO charges with max 1% per minute. Not slow, but no quickcharge.
    Oppo Find 7(a) charges with more than 2% per minute. (VOOC charger, 75% in 30 minutes.)

    Find 7 has special battery, I bet if you mod the same battery to our phones we'll have the same effect . . .

    P.S. It also has a "smart chip" to control(in charger, so smart charger-good battery combo) the overheat but this is just monitoring, so full ampere at 1st and as the battery charged it drops the ampere so any temps should not pose a threat (but even without that chip in a phone the battery is remarkable) - Hope an aftermarket battery company does this to our phone too so in lets say 2 years we could change the battery to a new one ...just like this

    P.S. Oppo has 4.5A charger, the battery can handle that ..you can put that charger to our phone but our battery would be limited to 2A so more than half the charge(btw OPO has proprietary design so it's their quick charge)

    Be advised that whether the phone supports quickcharge or not, the stock charger and stock cable will charge the phone from 20% to 60% in around 15-20 mins. Should be enough for everyone who needs quick power.

    NO IT DOESN'T ..snapdragon 801 has but 1+ probably remove this due to costs(1-5$ ..at best)

    But I'd like to try with a quickcharger to make sure

    You need 2hr for 0-100% at least so having ~1:30-1:40 would be nice also 0-50% will be blazing fast

    Our phone has Quickcharge 1.0 for sure(quickcharge 1.0 is 5v 2A, while quickcharge 2.0 uses 9v instead of 5v ..charger is "smart"* to avoid any damages to regular 5v devices)

    *This means the charger and the phone "communicate" so the raise the voltage to 9v

    I spent the $20 on the Tenergy version of this charger: my new OPO doesn't have quick charge as the charger LED does not turn green, only stays blue as it does with any normal device. This charger doesn't indicate if you are charging at quick charge 1.0, only 2.0.
    With that said, an HTC One M7 is the same (no indication of quick charge) while an HTC M8 and E8 both DO indicate quick charge 2.0 with this exact charger.
    I installed "Fast Charge" which said my kernel (CM11) does not support quick charge.

    I'm also concerned about the quality of the charge and the damage to the battery, but I really hoped that I would have quick charge 2.0 as an option on my OPO.
    Bummer.

    Also, there is some incorrect info regarding what quick charge is. Allow me to add a photo of the quick charge(r).
    It appears that:
    1.0 = 9v 2A
    2.0 = 12v 1.5A
